Best crab legs I have found in Denver! Huge portions. The potatoes and corn were great. And they threw in some sausage too! Will most certainly order again. Photo would be better, but I ate most of the first cluster before posting! Also – the hostess I picked up the order from was very nice!

Checked out Crab House off of South Broadway. It’s good, not great. The presentation is done well. We ordered a combo and lobster roll to compare to our other fav spots. The combo had good sized crawfish, but the mussels and crawfish were a little gritty. They haven’t fine tuned the cleaning process, which I find only works well if you do 4-5 round of cleaning. The shrimp is the star of the show. Good size, head taken off, split with shell still on. The flavor was good, but not big enough for us to return soon. The lobster roll is fine, if you like the mayo mixed lobster. We prefer a Connecticut style to bring our more of the flavor of lobster versus masking it. It is served with a warm bun, which helps a lot.

Another Cajun reviewer had great things to say about this place so I was really excited to try it out. I wouldn’t have mentioned that the hush puppies were undercooked if that was it. I wouldn’t have mentioned that the catfish didn’t have cornmeal in the batter either, because that’s different and different can be good. I probably would start to mention that the fish seemed to be marinated in lemon (?) which was certainly off putting. But the fried shrimp from the moment I bit into it had an overwhelming rotten smell and taste. And now I worry about the fish I’d been eating. The food looked incredible so I am really bummed. And I hate to write negative reviews these days but I don’t want anyone else paying for and experiencing bad seafood because these types of experiences turn people off from seafood for life. I also hate to write a bad review because the staff was very friendly. But I have to be honest based on my experience. This place just isn’t it.

It was Christmas Eve and this restaurant was open. We stopped by for dinner. From the beginning the service was poor. The restaurant wasn’t busy, only one table occupied. We were finally told to pick a seat. It took 10 minutes to get a menu and to order drinks. This restaurant seems kid and disabled friendly. It didn’t seem to be LGBTQ+ friendly because our server was so disconnected and distant. The food wasn’t very good. The lobster bisque was cold as were the crab cakes. I had to get up from the table to ask for beverage refills twice. The restaurant wasn’t very clean. The booth seats were split and broken and the over head light was full of debris and bugs. We won’t be returning to this restaurant.

Had the calamari, which tasted good. Nothing spectacular but not bad. The good part was that it was not extra chewy (from being frozen) like you get with so many seafood places here. Also ordered the shrimp roll with coleslaw and the lobster roll with fries. Both rolls were satisfying, not the best that I’ve ever had, but for a quick lunch, they were good. The coleslaw got tossed, it was not good at all. Server was not friendly but efficient, which is okay as well.

After hearing a number of good reviews about this restaurant, it has been on my list to try. We ordered takeout tonight and were very disappointed. The ease of ordering, customer service and inside of the restaurant all went smoothly. The food looked very good when we got it home but the quality did not match its appearance. The lobster in the lobster rolls was over cooked and heavily peppered, and the fries seemed undercooked. The calamari and hush puppies were were okay, but very salty. We won’t be back for the price. It wasn’t good

The crab cakes were great! My fried shrimp was awesome! My wife seemed to really enjoy her crab roll! Service was pretty good too! We were originally going to The Whiskey Biscuit right next store but they were closed for the 4th of July! Now we have a new spot!

I was blown away by the flavor, quality, and portions I received here. Took my wife out for dinner for her birthday, and the Crab House didn’t disappoint. 100% will be back!
