Great experience here. The food was outstanding and fresh; service was incredible, friendly, and warm… something you don’t get much of these days. My wife and I had brunch here after a night at the casino, and boy, it set us straight. Glad we stumbled across this cafe. Highly recommend.

Listen. It wasn’t horrible but the building itself is tiny, and this is not one of those where it’s deceiving from the outside… the inside is just as small. I didn’t go in the bathroom because my friend said you couldn’t turn in the room without touching something and I’m not about that. It has Waffle House vibes with the open kitchen and I can confirm the burger patty’s are frozen.

As a decorated service-connected disabled veteran, I feel robbed & violated. I made a purchase of two orders of red beans & rice, with sausage. I dropped one off to someone else, and just as I was arriving home, I received a call that the red beans & rice, with sausage had caused a regergitation, and the beans were NOT completely cooked. At that time, I removed the lid and taste tested one(1) bean. The bean tasted like it had been removed from pre-cook soaking, and served up as done. This was Extremely Unsat(Unsatisfactory for non military). When I tried to call, the number on my receipt was incorrect by one digit. I was told I should’ve contacted the establishment on day of transaction, to which I replied, they had closed for the day(contact was made the following business day). Purchase was made just shy of closing, Will NOT Happen Again. This is Very UNFAIR to me, as a patron. I ONLY gave one star, because 0 stars or negative stars were NOT An Option. If you buy here, check & taste before you leave, or better follow my example.

I got the baked chicken and dressing lunch special with greens, black eyed pea’s, & hot water cornbread… I enjoyed every bite!!! I believe I can honestly say it was the best I ever had! Do yourself a favor and check them out! You may want to call or come in early… I was lucky enough to get the last order and was here by 12:30pm.

It feels like going back in time or to my Mamaw’s kitchen. Everything was so yummy and homey. The staff are super sweet. I just spent two weeks in France and Spain, and I am currently driving across the country coast to coast in the US. This feels like my first taste of home in ages.

Cute little place. Friendly local diner-type place. The food could be a lot less greasy, but it is still edible. Staff is friendly, but service is a bit slow, not a big deal unless you are in a hurry or hungry. I will still go again.
