A nice place to stop for coffee. Relaxed atmosphere, good coffee and treats. Nicely restored old home right on main street. Outdoor seating if you wish or there is also seating upstairs. Grab a bag of coffee to go! Staff was friendly and the drinks served quickly.

In town from Wisconsin. I always enjoy trying a local coffee shop. Nice historic house, lovely front porch with surrounding gardens and my iced latte was delicious.

Nice dog friendly patio and outdoor garden area, they even gave us a pup snack

Loved this shop. Helpful and friendly service. Minimal menu, but my chai tea and my husband’s coffee were excellent. My husband even bought several things off the shelves, he was so enthralled with the place.

Decent coffee, but reallllly great breakfast sandwiches (so cheesy and delicious) and great spot to work for a few hours. Upstairs has plenty of tables and chairs, the internet was reliable, and there’s even a small ‘conference’ style room to work from. If you’re driving through and need a spot to get a few hours of work in this is the perfect spot!

Cute place and my grandkids loved the muffins. I hate giving bad reviews but the latte was horrible. I even tried adding sweetener and just had to dump the whole thing out. My grandson also dumped out his flavored ice tea. If you like good roasted beans and quality coffee this is not the place, so sorry to say. I have tried several times through the years and it appears to be getting worse.

Coffee was luke warm and burnt smelling, when I expressed my thoughts to the person behind the counter he told me “ I’m the owner and I doubt you have a great palate”. Wow, well then, I guess I’ll be leaving.///////REPLY: I have only ever left two other reviews, both of them negative yes but to say this is my hobby with two other reviews ever is funny. I should take the time to write positive reviews but 99% of the places I go are good and I would be writing reviews every day. I only take the time when a business is exceptionally rude or poor. Try and get it together.

Coffee Trader is the coffee shop of choice in Montrose. I prefer the “old” shop, across the street from The Horsefly, which is a converted old house. One thing I love about it is that you can buy a (microwaved) breakfast sandwich any time of the day, long after that place with the golden arch (the one in town only has one arch, for some reason) will tell you “sorry, we’re serving our lunch menu now.” The coffee is excellent too, of course.

Stopped in on Memorial Day. This coffee spot is in an old converted two-story building. It has lots of seating in converted rooms on both floors, and the porch and side yard area. Bathrooms look like original, but get the job done. Service was prompt and friendly. The Americano was good, with a discounted coffee refill. It’s convenient to the old downtown, a nearby RV Park, and the Saturday farmer’s market. Homey place with old-fasioned vibe. Parking may be tight on busy days. Overall, a Two Thumbs up!

Want to give a special shout out to my dudes Colbi and Xavier always going above and beyond to be of thee most excellent service. But also a special thanks to Hanna, Owen, Devin, and last but certainly not least miss Faith. This team of coffee connoisseurs knows their stuff and have an excellent attitude while showing it off.
