The CODfather is the ONLY place in town to get PROPER fish and chips. Our WORLD FAMOUS fish and chips are hand made the traditional British way. HUGE 8oz North Atlantic Cod fillets dipped in our own recipe wet batter and cooked until golden brown. Chippy chips hand cut daily from only premium crop potatoes and cooked twice for perfection. We also bake our own line of savory British style meat pies and sausage rolls.
In the pub we have a selection of draught beer from the old country and local craft beers. Wine also available.

This place actually DOES live up to the hype! Incredible perfectly battered and cooked fish! Clearly site made tartar sauce was delightful! Fries were good but eh, not as good as I’d hoped. The curry sauce tasted like being in the middle of London! Overall just super good food and will likely return often!

Today we had the privilege to dine at The CODfather proper fish and chips in Nexton. Their food brought me back to my British heritage for sure, it’s the closest thing to jolly old England’s fish and chips I’ve had in the U.S. When we walked in we were greeted by two great employees Brock and Carrie. The food is soooo good and plentiful. Even the half portion is huge. Their tartar sauce is EVERYTHING. I struggled to eat my half portion but I refused to let it go to waste. I will only eat cod and whiting so this place was perfect and so was the cod. I will definitely eat here again and I highly recommend this place. If you’re super hungry you will definitely be satisfied. The customer service was great too. Just try it

I’m quite surprised how tender the fish and sausage roll was, I got the half fish and chips and it was still a lot of food because they present you a decent sized piece of fish. They have there own tarter sauce which I loved.

Proper and legit fish & chips. Bangin’ tartar. Unfortunately a Pepsi product place – only negative thing I could say. But I’ll drink water or beer – cuz it’s about the cod and the taters here. When you want the best darn F and Cs you can possible get in Summerville, this is where you go. If you got an appetite, get the world famous (full size). If not, get the half. I can’t say enough good stuff about the F and Cs here. They have some other stuff, but I’ve never had it. If you are thinking bout trying this place – YES! Emphatically. Do it.

Their fish was really good and fresh when they first opened. Lately something has been up with their frying because the fish and chips have been soggy the last few times we went. Their tartar sauce is amazing though. Overall, if you like fish and chips it’s worth giving a shot.
