Very nice place ,was expecting to go somewhere else but they were having an issue so for my birthday we ended up going to The Chop House.. tried some new things that I’ve never had before was very impressed and the waiter James went out of his way to make my birthday special, our appetizer was the Moroccan shrimp which is very good a little bit of spiciness to it, the main course was crab stuff sole, and a rosemary herb chicken. And for dessert I tried their Maple pecan bread pudding with chocolate drizzle and it was awesome.

Food was okay. Deep dried and coated in sugar. Our table was visited by no less than 3 spiders and other bugs!! We came in for happy hour but they sat us in the dining area without asking and said we couldn’t have the happy hour price because of where we sat.

Top notch service and selection. I got a special that was the Parmesean Crusted Halibut topped with a lobster creme sauce woth asparagus and a house salad. It was cooked beautifully and I paired with a nice Pinot Noir. Most menu items are a la carte and large. Some dishes have sides along with it (as my halibut did).

Some friends and I came in to have some drinks before an event. It was 6pm. Happy hour ends at 7. I ordered a house Moscato (which was on the happy hour list for $8). My friends ordered Pineapple Cosmos (which were also on the happy hour menu for $9). The cosmos were delicious, so I told the bartender and asked him what all went in to making it. He was very hateful and mumbled his answer. Everyone at the bar noticed and commented on how he answered me. When we got our bills (at 6:50 – happy hour ends at 7) none of our drinks were marked at happy hour prices. When we inquired, we were told they weren’t included on the happy hour, which they clearly were. He then took our money and refused to come back over to allow us to inquire further into the pricing. For an “upscale” business, I was very disappointed and will not be returning.

Very nice steakhouse feel. The Chilean Seabass was excellent. The lamb lollipops were a little bit too rare for me. Overall this restaurant has a Manhattan feel in the middle of West Virginia. I would guess this is probably the best in Charleston.

The food looked a lot better than it was. Most of the food was cold despite waiting almost an hour for it. While it wasn’t the fault of the restaurant the ovens were down due to a power outage. Half of the menu couldn’t be ordered. I’m sure they would’ve made an attempt to remake our food because of the lack of warmth but we just couldn’t wait for that to happen.

Such an amazing experience last night, dining at the chophouse. Jonathon was our server, started us off with the yummy little gluten free pop over. We had oysters and calamari for our appetizers, first time for both and that calamari was delicious. Oysters however I think are an acquired taste. Extensive menu but they offered two specials too good to pass on so we each ordered one. I enjoyed the halibut with lobster reduction sauce and my husband had the filet with asparagus in hollandaise sauce. Our entrees were both delicious and would order everything again other than the oysters at no fault to the chophouse. Thanks for an overall great dining experience

Extremely nice restaurant but WAY overrated. $65 for sirloin and another 12.99 for mashed potatoes and 12.99 for a side salad. Our total bill was $188 without tip. Never again.

The service was excellent. We ordered the Lobster bites as our appetizer which had decent size chunks of lobster. I ordered the Beef Wellington and was disappointed. The puff pastry was not very crispy and there was an odd sour taste in the layer between the filet and pastry.

Rude and inconsiderate. I showed up at 4:30 to an empty restaurant and the lady at the front says she can’t get a table for 2. It’s empty.
