The Chipper is THE SPOT!!! They have the best Fish & Chips I have ever tasted!!! The COD is perfectly crispy on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. And we are not even going to talk about the fries… THE FRIES ARE EPIC!!! The owners, Neal & Helen, are incredibly nice & great cooks! All the sauces are made fresh by Neal & Helen, they are superb. The Curry Sauce is AMAZING! I suggest buying extra… We make a special trip every time just to come to The Chipper!!! I highly recommend you venturing out to The Chipper!

First time visiting this restaurant. This is not a fast food establishment. You will have to wait about 20 minutes for your food to be ready. This restaurant is not fancy but does resemble a cafe style environment inside.

I ordered Cod fish & chips. The portion of fish ( many British fish&chip spots sell fish finger) is considered “normal” compared to the one I had in the U.K. The batter is soft, but the quality of fish is fresh and meaty.

Proper fish and chips restaurant in Katy, Texas?! Exactly what you’d expect fish and chips to taste like if your were in England. They even have a British radio station on in the kitchen. Hard to beat. I’m pretty sure I walked out sounding like a Brit. Excellent!

Five stars with a major caveat! Went on Saturday at 6:00pm, drove from the Heights because my wife (who’s from the UK) wanted to try what she had heard to be the most authentic Fish and Chips in the city. It was about a 30 min drive and we arrived to find them closing up shop having run out of cod, chips, mushy peas, and curry sauce, which was pretty much the entire menu. They had one order left of haddock and one order left of chips which they offered to sell to

I have never been to Britain, but I am a foodie, and I can say with reasonable certainty that this is the only authentic fish and chip shop I have been to in the US. This is definitely the only one in Houston (I know because I searched). They had perfectly fried fish that was like a foot long, and crispy yet soft chips (fries), and I got the tartar sauce as well as the mushy peas. It doesn’t get more authentic than this.

Craving Fish & Chips in Houston? The Chipper in Katy will deliver to fulfill your desires. Everything is made fresh to order and the portion sizes are massive! The fish was cooked well and the batter had the right consistency. This is as authentic as you can get and the chips here are so underrated. Safe to say one of my favorite places to have them. Expect to pay a premium for your meal but you pay for quality. Hope to return soon whenever I’m back in the Katy area.

The food here is AMAZING. I’ve gotten fish and chips several times from other places but no one beats the portions and the quality and taste here.

First class fish n chips. Order cod and take mushy peas and curry sauce – Neil is topgun. I just got back from Leeds and Yorkshire – the Chipper is as good as Harry Ramsden’s the world champions. Also same as Gigs in London. Here is a picture of REAL fish and Chips that Neil delivers

British girl approved!! Proper portion of cod. Nice batter and crispy. Only thing missing is some scraps and I’d feel like I’m back at the chippies in Norfolk.
