We tried this place for Mother’s Day and had a great time!

The Carter-Payne is unexpected in both good and not so good ways. As someone who had not been to this establishment prior to participating in a weekly activity that brought me here, it would have been good to know how things worked here.

Ended our Rocky Mtn Food Tour here and it was the best stop! We had a beer flight to go along with our food samples and was amazed at the flavors of both – a ton of history, some great local establishments all under one roof – outstanding food and drinks! I don’t think I’ve ever recommended salad before but you have to try the Sanctuary Salad.

We popped in for a night cap on a Wednesday and it was definitely an experience, not only because they renovated a church into a restaurant, but the vibe was a bit too fancy for our weekday night. We still sat down and enjoyed a drink and their very large charcuterie board. We chatted with one of the bartenders about their locally distilled beers and got to taste one of the beers on show. The floor manager was a very nice host, and I loved that they had a cornhole going on outside in the yard.

This restaurant inside of Local relic is great! I’m a huge charcuterie fan & this has to be one of the top ones I’ve ever got, price & taste! Highly recommend

No complaints on the cocktails, great staff! Didn’t try the food do to the menu being spaced out over small plates, dinner, and brunch. Those options are spaced out over different time periods and days. (5pm for dinner, brunch only on fri-sat) plus the vegan options looked exceptional!!!

I love this place! It’s so nice to be able to eat in church again! It reminds me of when we had potlucks with the congregation at my church back home! I walked in and noticed that there’s a big open room immediately. It looks like someone drew on the wall and the church hasn’t fixed it yet. I told the waitress that it needed to be fixed and she seemed to agree. I tried 3 alcohol drinks here. One was whisky alcohol and I think I’m allergic to it. One was vodka alcohol and I’m also allergic to that. The best was alcohol beer. I wasn’t allergic to that since it didn’t burn and taste bad! It was very good other then when I talked to women they weren’t like the girls back home. Is this place only women that like women? If there’s any females out there reading this leave me a message and I’ll be your boyfriend! It’s a great church but the pastor is never in.

Restaurant with multiple stations. We went Friday afternoon around 3. Not too crowded. Located in the First African-American church in Colorado Springs. The location is steeped in history not far from the train tracks. We did only tapas and drinks but both were unique and outstanding.

The first time we came here was a few years back. The building itself is beautiful. It was a very relaxed vibe then with games and records and comfortable seating. Our return visit brought us to something completely different. Still an amazing building but the atmosphere wasn’t quite what we remembered. It’s turned a little more upscale with a menu that didn’t quite appeal to us. We stuck to the beer which was delicious!

This was by far the best stop on our food tour, we only wish we could have sampled more on the menu. The tacos were superb, I’m team green and my husband was team red and the beer choices were tasty and creative. The place has a very trendy vibe and their employees were very engaged with all of the customers. Definitely worth a visit.
