We had a delicious breakfast at the Breakfast Nook this morning…fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, biscuits and homemade sausage gravy, eggs, hash brown and meats. Most foods are locally grown/raised and they were cooked to perfection. Our server, Taylor, was so sweet, efficient and attentive! The Breakfast Nook serves “food with a purpose” meaning that they support young adults learning life skills…great mission! Added bonus, they have a newish outdoor patio so we were able to bring the dog. Highly recommend this sweet place for a wonderful homecooked breakfast!

We had breakfast there and the food was great. The ingredients are sourced locally and cooked with care. Our waitress Bella was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our breakfast. She even custom made us a waffle! We are looking forward to returning to the Breakfast Nook.

Great food, great cause, very friendly staff. My boyfriend and I had a great conversation with the owner. Everything is farm fresh and they utikize zero waste! We will be back here for breakfast the next time in Davis, WV. They also make fresh orange juice which I thought was very unique.

Had an amazing breakfast! The staff were very kind and attentive and the food was delicious! The farm fresh eggs and real maple syrup are definitely worth it. And I really appreciate their mission.

We were the only ones in the place for breakfast. Very quaint. Ordered coffee with a lot of cream. Even told the waitress who seemed out out that we liked coffee milk. She brought one little cream. Coffee grounds floating in the coffee. After seeing that, I ordered toast. My husband said his breakfast was okay. Didn’t seem very friendly or maybe they were having a bad day. Won’t return.

This place is small, but that’s not the problem. They have a nice mission statement about hiring people to help then get back on their feet, etc. And that’s great, but management is terrible and they are super negative. The server was good and really trying, but all of the management seemed to be bothered that there were people in the restaurant ( not the older lady, she was sweet). The cook could be heard complaining about how busy they were and berating the servers left and right for putting in orders that he didn’t like. Couldn’t believe that one person could order 5 eggs, and got infuriated whenever someone tried to customize a breakfast, (like ask for no cheese on their burrito.) A guy came in and they wouldnt let him order anything other than sandwiches, and was told it would be 15 or 20 mins, 2 mins later, he asked to change one of the sandwiches from bacon to ham, and he was told he couldn’t becaue he already put it in and the cook was mad at the servers. I’ve never been somewhere and felt so awkward, for myself and the employees, who you could tell the negativity was wearing down. The people beside us at the bar said the same thing, and their daughter even said she felt scared for the staff because the cook was so belligerent… additionally, my food was good, but my fiancé got sick from her non customizable burrito.

Love the mission. Doubt it will ever be accomplished. Food over priced. Young girls are not being taught complete waitressing skills. They did not add the check or take the money. Rarely did they deliver the food. They did take the order. Found the Big Nookie to be lacking. The ham was in the smallest cubes I ever saw and not much of it. Mostly hash brown potatoes that weren’t browned at all. The adult supervision was rude. Turned down a tip for the girls. Guess it was too small of an amount! Really? How sad. What are the young ladies learning? Seems like a hoax.

Went while visiting the area and unfortunately left disappointed. Spent $80 for a family of 2 adults and 2 small kids since they up-charge everything including “real” maple syrup which tasted watered down. Unfortunately the coffee was so acidic that the cream curdled instantly (lady next to us said the same), the french toast slices were thin, and things were just all around overpriced for what it was.

After getting absolutely soaked while camping in the Monongahela national forest, it was quite a relief to find a spot to warm up and get some breakfast, the service was quick and the food was great, and the atmosphere was really cozy and warm, if you’re ever in Davis, be sure to check it out!
