One of our best experiences in Texas. We got to the restaurant and there was already a line which usually is a good sign. A waitress came out to greet us, with it being our first time, explained the process and the history which got us even more excited about our dining experience. They have a great menu and we pretty much ordered all of the recommendations from our waitress. The food came out quickly, and was absolutely delicious! This is a must if you are in the area. Looking forward to coming back!

We were visiting Houston and decided to try them out. The line was long but it moved pretty quickly. We were greeted “with a smile” by the staff while we were in the line, and given a QR code to peruse the menu while we waited. Due to the wait, we were given the option of going to a building behind the restaurant, which was a separate facility(they owned) and only served a limited part of the menu. The set up was self serve for the condiments and water/coffee. They took our orders and at least 4 staff members came by our table to check on us as we enjoyed the delicious homemade food. We were in heaven with every delicious bite!! We will make this a regular stop on our trips to Houston. The service and food are A+!

The food was very good and worth the wait in line. Pretty much any time I’ve driven by there’s been a line of some sort. When we went, we waiting approximately 25-30 minutes. There’s some shade along the awning and they had water outside. I had the catfish and grits. It was amazing! Best catfish I’d had in a while. My friend had the chicken and waffles and it must’ve been good as well because he didn’t offer any, ha. Great experience, but some of the fans inside are more functional than others, so be mindful of where you sit on those super hot days.

Listen if you are looking for the review to encourage you to go then this is it. So, yes the lines will be super long, my family stood outside waiting over 40 minutes. However, it was worth it plus they have a cold water station set up outside. Also, ladies I suggest buying a hand held portable fan it will save you in Texas. The food itself was delicious! I ordered the catfish and grits and the catfish was finger licking good! My cousin ordered the chicken and waffles and said it was tasty. The staff there are super sweet and continues to check on you showing great hospitality. The host (slender African American woman who is funny and gives off a personal aunty/grandma vibes) from outside was my favorite! We will definitely be back next year when we visit Houston. Also, I encourage paying to park in the parking garage. They have reserved breakfast Klub parking for guests but it seemed relatively far to not watch your car for safety .Sending much love and blessings to this franchise from SC to Texas!

We stood in the heat in line for about 30min and we were well entertained by the best greeter that I’ve ever met. The guy wlat the register wasn’t as friendly but whatever. We ordered and got our food fast, it was well worth the wait. The lady that came around a few times to check on us was attentive and funny. I’ll be back in September

Very good food. It was a line but it moved fast. I liked that they had employees interact and make recommendations while in line so we had an idea of what we wanted before ordering. Paid parking nearby was only $8. I definitely will go back next time we visit Houston.

A legendary breakfast spot, great food and even better hospitality. Our server was great and helpful considering this was our first time here. The lady that was greeting the guests is so full of energy we loved it! You can taste the food is made with love here and a great breakfast restaurant in Houston. Potentially the best breakfast spot in Houston in my opinion.

Against my better judgement, I ordered the highly recommended catfish and grits… for breakfast. Don’t know what I was thinking when I ordered. ….

We had this on the list to visit as soon as we got to Houston. There will be a line, but don’t let that fool you. They’re very regimented on how they conduct service, cooking, cleaning & getting people in & out. They have security & someone who comes outside to greet you & talks to you to about menus & what to expect. We ordered & literally within the time we got our drinks, silverware & sat down a plate of food had come to the table. The people there are always moving & getting things done. There’s no waiting on tables to be cleaned, benadryl their staff is there as soon as you get up from the table. We were so full & everything tasted great! We’ll be back really soon!
