Classic low key deli. Hidden gem of Alamo. Simple menu that is so delicious. I opt for the Turkey Club on Dutch Crunch and it’s phenomenal every single time.

This is one of my favorite sandwiches places in the east bay. I don’t like places that make crazy concoctions, I just like a good simple sandwich. They make traditional sandwiches, everything is fresh and generous serving sizes. The owner is great, he welcomes us every time we come in and always makes a point to talk to us.

Got the Italian specialty sandwich. Definitely hit the spot, just a bit heavy on the oil, which leaked along the underside, making it a little messy. If they just soaked it in the bread a little it would make for a really nice touch.

Love the old-skool vibe and delicious food at this place. Here since 1980 and football lovers ta boot. I get a tasty turkey with the shredded lettuce. It’s like a time machine. Highly recommended!

I’ve been on a sandwich kick lately at lunch and chose this place today. It didn’t disappoint! Had roast beef eith cheddar on Sourdough and it was slammin. Cool little mom and pop spot with a good variety of sides, chips, and drinks. The roast beef was super tender and definitely fresh.

Brass Bear is an Alamo classic! All the Bay Area natives know this is the go to spot if you’re in the area! Been going to Brass Bear since high school. Never had a bad experience here.

I love it and I want you to love it too. I’ll admit, it’s part nostalgia because this was a staple of my youth and coming back brings all kinds of memories. But in reality, the sandwiches are great. Sliced fresh, made to order, if you don’t like it then it’s probably your fault and not theirs. 🙂 Go, eat, be happy. It’s that simple.
