Not a drive by! We had the mussels app, shrimp scampi, ramen and the white chocolate tort. All were outstanding. Mussels were tossed with a delicious tomato broth and cooked perfectly. So much flavor packed into all of the dishes. Pleasant atmosphere, craft cocktails available too. We will be back soon.

It’s not often that I come across a place that does so many things correctly. From the craft cocktails, to the delicious locally sourced food, The Block Saloon checks all the boxes for a wonderful dining experience. It’s your next best place to frequent because the food and drink menu changes often. They’re always crafting something enticingly special.

You obviously know this place is awesome from the other reviews I just wanted to share these sweet pics I got. We were just here before Christmas on a little vacay. I never had sake this good let me tell ya. And the food was unexpectedly phenomenal. I got the chickie parm. Oh, and the bartender was a total darling. Didn’t get his name. Little guy, very nice hair. 10/10/10 food/drinks/staff. Oh yea and the bathroom was a whole nother vibe. There may or may not have been a speaker in there playing motivational speeches with meditative background music.

We were very excited about trying this place out. We ordered gnocchi, fish tacos and French fries. The tacos came out cold and close to 10 minutes after the gnocchi and the fries came out even later. I was starving so I ate the food and didn’t say anything, but I shouldn’t have to…everyone knows you bring the food out together for the table. My cocktail was excellent the best part of the experience. Overall, disappointing, but I’m guessing it was an off night, not the regular operation

When the meal needs no bread, one knows she is in for a treat. Balance and beautiful, the meals and drinks sang the song of true artistry. Inspiration. Thanks, Caleb, Josiah, and Elizabeth for the life treat.

Service was good. Food not so much. First the menu is VERY limited. I think 4-6 small plates and 6-8 large plates. I got the fried scallops which was one of the large plates – and it wasn’t large. I think of large plates as potentialto share. I think there were 6 or 7 on the plate.

The restaurant had 1 waitress, 1 bartender, and 1 cook. I do feel bad for them, but an over 2 hour wait after sitting in a hot room with no air conditioning was not enjoyable. Reservations should have been restricted to deal with their low capacity to serve customers adequately.

This place was wonderful when it first opened but has gone rapidly downhill. My last two visits were terrible. The kitchen is beyond slow. No one in your party gets their food at even remotely close to the same time, and there is no explanation as to when the missing meals might arrive. The food, when it arrives after at least a half hour wait, is at best ho hum, some dishes not at all appealing. To top it off, they have extremely poor ventilation and thus have to keep the door propped open or it becomes too smoky. You either freeze or are eaten alive by mosquitos (maybe both!), yet you and your clothes will still reek of food when you finally get home.

Came for Sunday brunch. The limited menu looked good and stressed brunch beverages over food. Service was friendly and engaged, bit of a wait for the food but it was worth it, the Bacon Egg & Cheese was to die for.

Beautiful little place in Thomaston. Their menu changes weekly so you taste buds will always be happy. The hours are little strange to me , but I just moved here so I’m not used to the town yet. I tried the Duck and it’s awesome. Tender, medium rear and full of flavor. The dishes are simple but they are the correct portions.
