The Big House: Eating and Drinking Emporium was a pleasant surprise. Even though the address is listed as Dyersville, the pub is located a few miles northwest of town. If we had not been looking for it we may have missed it completely. We traveled to this area to watch a friend’s band perform. From the outside the building appeared very plain and simple. On the inside I was surprised to find a restaurant that looked similar to what I might find in a larger City. Although the area was small it was nicely and decorated with updated furniture and other amenities. It appears to be a local tourist attraction as they had their own items including t-shirts. They have a nice pub-style menu including traditional items such as Burgers and Fries. I particularly enjoyed the fried pickles. The company was pleasant as this appears to be a regular stop for many of the locals. The wait staff was very knowledgeable of their menu and drink items. They were very friendly and did a good job of keeping up with the demands of the patrons. This business is a nice addition to this area and I will definitely go back when in the area again.

One of my Favorite places to tip a few back. Fun crowds of locals & party buses from all over. Serving Good food, & reasonably priced drinks as well. Always entertaining, plenty of room, tables, barstools, with a killer jukebox, & Spot on Pool Table. Even has a Beer garden in the Back. Enjoy, I do!

Good road house type of place. Had burger & club sandwiches. Quick service, good sandwiches. Older bartender guy kinda surly, but not offensive, other young lady very nice. They were getting ready for live outdoor band – sounded pretty good, but we had to go. Note: there is no signage outside. Trust your Google map to get you there and look for the open sign in the window.

Great hashbrowns. Best thing is the Thursday night wings – all you can eat boneless or traditional for $10 with fries. The service could stand to be more welcoming and friendly. Great bar!

Didnt even stay to eat. The waitress was not wearing a mask and the high chair they brought me was filthy! Also the cook was not even there so we would have had to wait to get any food! Will never go back!!!
