Loved the service here. I ate at the bar and the staff were friendly and chatted with me. I had the Halibut bites and the Amelia salt and vinegar fries. The fries were outstanding. I loved them. The Halibut bite’s actually lacked a lot of flavor. I had to use the tartar sauce generously. But I would recommend this place. I did not have a cocktail. However, I could see they had a nice variety available. Also, there is an upstairs and downstairs bar.

Basic nothing amazing but decent, way too many kids running around, very very very slow to get food. 45 mins for a bowl of soup & a Haddock sandwich. Ordered new England clam chowder it was great, but cold. I ordered a second bowl requested it hot, the server informed me she “microwaved” it 3x times & it was still cold .. ugh. I wouldn’t go back.

The food was really excellent. Blackened haddock sandwich with sweet potato fries were very flavorful. The chicken quesadilla was similarly good. Even the kids Mac and cheese was good and wasn’t just from the box. The food took a bit because there was a large group in front of us. Definitely worth the wait.

Linguine Alfredo, recommended by our very nice waitress, Emily, was excellent! Sauce was so yummy! I chose to add lobster and there were at least four lobster claws and many other chunks…very generous! Husband enjoyed whole belly fried clams and they were good as well! Highly recommend dining here!

We came for lunch, and then brought the family back for dinner a day later. Both times, we had the pleasure of learning about the menu items from our waitress Virginia. Ask for her! Virginia made great recommendations and shared info about how items were specially made. Save room for dessert! The pricing is reasonable and such a better value than what we ate in Bar Harbor. The lobsters tasted better and were about half the price. Fan of IPAs? Be sure to try Mason’s Liquid Rapture IPA, very appropriately named.

Was okay. We were told crab dip best ever but was not impressed. Very small serving with a big price. Not worth it. The claim chowder in bread bowl was good but mostly bread. The haddock sandwich was very good.

Excellent family restaurant that had great customer service with excellent food! All of the food was priced appropriately and more than we could eat! If your going to get the Captins Platter it’s more than enough for two people to share. The lunch portions are large enough to be a full dinner. Everything my whole family ordered was served piping hot and we all enjoyed our seafood selections. Would highly recommend if your in the area, and want to get out of Bar Harbor area to avoid the over crowded tourism restaurants.

Eat here! You will not be disappointed. I am not sure why this place does not have 5 stars. It’s is a family owned restaurant with owners who care. One over heard me talking about how amazingly delicious their Halibut bites were and stopped to tell me the story on how they were created. Basically owners had halibut at home but nothing crunchy to fry them in, so her husband crushed local BBQ potato chips and this amazing dish was born. They were by far one of the best things I have eaten in a long time and I will be back to get them again. They are seasonal so they only have them for a limited time. Our waitress, Kayla, who was also excellent, told us they run out by or in the fall.

Truly love this little restaurant. Has quickly become my favorite. Amazing food with amazing service. They always keep checking on you to ensure that you have everything you need, and they make you feel welcome enough to ask for anything without worrying of “bothering them” like most other places. The service alone is worth the trip. Haven’t been disappointed with any dish we’ve gotten. Highly recommend!
