What a delightful surprise. I was very skeptical when we drove up, but once the food was served, I was quickly reminded not to judge a book by its cover. The man behind the shack may be serving some of the best brisket on the East Coast. The brisket melts at the tip of your mouth with the perfect combination of fat and meat; the sauce perfectly complements the brisket. The chicken is smoked to perfection; the Mac&cheese was great wish he served a larger portion. Worth the stop back to Massachusetts every time can’t wait to visit again.

We’ve driven by this place far too many times. Don’t make the same mistake we did! We’ve been a customer of another BBQ place near by, but this place has become our very favorite. Absolutely everything we’ve tried so far has been out of this world. Scott is incredibly personable, we thoroughly enjoy his conversations. Delicious. The ribs were the most tender ribs I’ve ever had in my life, and the Carolina honey mustard was so good I could have drank it. The brisket sandwich was incredible as well, especially with the molasses BBQ sauce. We had the Mac and cheese and cornbread on the side and we were full before we finished everything, but we did finish EVERYTHING. Scott is a one-man-show, and he does everything so well, he deserves to be proud of his food. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area. 🙂

Food was so fresh and so good. Makes food right in front of you. Tailors the spiciness to your liking. Ribs fall of the bones, brisket is so tender you will not need a knife, and the mac & cheese was so creamy. Cant say enough about the food we got. Very nice guy who has experience and knowledge about what he is doing. We will be back for sure.

Stumbled upon this place on recent trip north. Owner asked if it was our first time there (it was), so he gave us samples of meats with his different sauces. OMG! The best pulled pork sandwich EVER. Not sure, but did his moist corn muffins have a hint of honey and orange to them? He even included a nice big bone for our dog to enjoy by the campfire that evening . If you’re in the area, don’t miss this opportunity to have a REAL “Happy Meal”!

Stopped here right before they closed with my family on our way home from vacation. The owner was very nice and helpful. Had AMAZING pulled pork and BBQ chicken. The bbq sauce was incredible. Mac and cheese great as well. Plenty of tables to eat there. We’ll be back again next time!
