Absolutely FANTASTIC! I haven’t had better since the last time I went to Louisiana (even then, it’s close). We will definitely be back, many times. Shrimp and grits was the star of the night for me. Jumbalaya tasted great with a bit of smokiness. Alligator was cooked to perfection and the batter was seasoned just so. Meat pies were scrumptious and the dough was super flaky. Gumbo was loaded and also tasted great. The staff were all attentive and friendly.

Loved the food and atmosphere. They were out of some things but we got there rather late. Reasonable prices- thought the mixed drink was wonderful but a little pricey. The food we did get was excellent. The okra..dunno what they fry in or what have you, but it was THE BEST I have ever had. The batter on my shrimp and alligator was a salt overload for me, but overall we really enjoyed it. Definitely want to go back and try some other things. Oh, and the fried pickles delish!

Great service great food. This is not a cheap restaurant but you are getting good Cajun food. As a lot of Cajun food much of it is deep fried. Do not go here if you’re worried about eating the most healthy food you can eat.

Great food and excellent service! Our waiter was so nice to our kiddos and made great recommendations. We live about an hour from Monett but plan to come back for the Saturday evening shrimp boil. The catfish was spot on and my crawfish etouffee was tasty.

Great food, friendly people, good atmosphere. Known for New Orleans style cuisine, but they also have the very Best steaks and prime rib I’ve eaten anywhere. I love this place!

Amazing service, all the waiters are pleasant and great to talk to, the food is amazing. We have been a few times just for the crawfish boil, it is 2lbs of yum, they only do on Saturdays. They have this really hot salsa called Death by Salsa that is not for the faint of heart, it has some spice to it, it is like liquid fire that kicks you in the face. I highly recommend this place for all Cajun and southern style food lovers.

I usually love this place but disappointed on this trip. Some of the lettuce was not looking good at the salad bar but as soon as I brought it to their attention it was fixed. The waiter was very friendly and helpful with the menu -he really was! The food was delicious as usual but when you order a loaded baked potato don’t expect the whole potato -it was half missing and stuffed with way to much cheese! Big disappointment

We went on a weeknight and there was Zero wait time. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating the waitress and the hostess were very friendly. They have a very large menu and the food is priced reasonable for that style of restaurant. Everyone in our party of four was very satisfied with their meals and Portion sizes. We got plenty to eat, yet clean our plates. It was a special occasion so we bought dessert and I had the best warm pecan pie I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve ate a lot of pecan pies. I highly recommend this place for burgers and Seafood.

We love the food at the Bayou. Can’t narrow it down to any one specific plate, because everything we’ve tried has been outstanding. We’ve even called ahead with a party of 30 and they were ready to accommodate us when we got there. They took care of us with hardly a glitch. Kudos !

Outstanding people, engaging and knowledgeable about their unique menu. Food was really really good. Some mild, some medium and some clear your sinus hot. If you like seafood and creole cooking, do not pass up the Bayou. Oh, and save room for the French silk pie.
