Great local place. We went for Friday night Team Trivia and fish and chips special. ($14) The fish and chips were great! Trivia is fun, too.

Dive bar with a lot of regulars like Cheers. We ordered BLT wrap, Burger and Fried Pickles. The Wrap was great. The burger was big with lettuce, tomato and onion and a nice bun . The burger was seasoned with salt but too much salt. The pickle chips were a big surprise, the order was huge, probably 3x the size of an order elsewhere… they were greasy and salty but pretty good. Also ordered a Yuengling on tap and it was ice cold and poured correctly… Happy hour has beer and appetizer specials but limited to 1 discounted appetizer choice if I understood correctly… Our waitress was friendly, and ran that bar all by herself no problem… Taking care of the bar patrons and the diners.

This is a true hidden gem! The slogan on the door ‘ Enter as strangers, leave as friends’ is something we often hope for but rarely ever experience. They live it at The Barrel.

Great place. They live up to their motto. “Enter as strangers leave as friends” Even so our pizza was not to our likings Owner took the time to come out and apologize. Even so that did not alter our experience. We would definitely be back. Thank you. Please stop by a visit, the atmosphere is great and you feel welcomed.

Great bar and awesome staff! We visited the place multiple times as it was within walking distance to our rental. Food was delicious. “Come as strangers, leave as friends” and it couldn’t be more true.

Local hang out…dive bar…. Draft beer was well, draft beer-but it was cold! Mixed drinks were decent. Food was…mediocre and overcooked. Bartender was busy but friendly. Comfortable place to hang out

Wow, what a place! First time here but definitely not our last! Definitely a dive bar that you need to visit next time you’re in town. Restaurant was very clean and well decorated for a sports bar. We chose the wings and pizza and of course cold beer. One of the owners was in the dining room helping the wait staff,he told me that everything was sourced locally.

Went for a walk lunch and drinks, left with a full belly, a great buzz and a little history from the owners of a long lived family business. Pool, darts and some good AC added to a memorable lunch date for us.

A nice little beach dive bar! Our server was incredibly friendly and the service was quick. We got the onion strings which were amazing and burgers. The burgers were very overcooked but we still enjoyed them.

Great atmosphere and friendly people. “Mom” the owner came up and introduced herself and made sure everything was satisfactory to our liking. You just don’t see that anymore. The Burger was delicious and our mixed drinks were very good. When we come back to Myrtle Beach we are definitely stopping by this place again!!
