I’ve been eating at the BBQ Pit for years. As a local it’s one of my favorite places. Today I had the lunch special with 1 sandwich, 1 side, and a drink. I love their beef sandwiches. I’ll continue to eat there for as long as I possibly can!

I love barbecue and I almost consider myself a barbecue aficionado but I think I am fair when I evaluate the food . The ribs were Very tender with a nice smoke ring. However they did not have a lot of flavor like no dry rub or seasoning was applied The chicken was cooked to perfection and tender. The macaroni and cheese was lukewarm. The staff was friendly in accommodating for the most part. I would give this place a second chance if I’m in the area.

I wasn’t sure what to make of this place. I went for lunch on a random Wednesday afternoon. It was dead empty so we were able to walk right up to the counter and order. The staff were very nice and the food came out quickly. As far as I’m told this is a really old restaurant that seems to only cater to the people that have been going here for decades. The food was decent and the barbecue sauce was delicious. Not sure if I would drive here again though.
