It was busy for a week night so it was understandable that service and kitchen couldn’t keep up. I had the Back Forty Pizza deep dish. It turn out wonderful. This made the wait worth it.

Wow. This place really blew me away. I got the cherry coke with grenadine (obviously the bomb). Then, I got some crab rangoons, and for a bar in a pretty rural area, these were so delicious. Paired with their sweet chilli sauce, it’s a great appetizer! I then got their “Carol’s Chicken Berry Salad”. First off, the presentation was absolutely amazing. It was so pretty! It had poppyseed dressing as well. It tasted pretty good, but obviously fruit on salad is for required tastes. This was by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been too, the atmosphere was quaint and quiet, very calming. The service was very nice, the lady helped us with our orders and handled us well. This is definitely a hidden gem in Michigan you need to try!

Not a bad place just not what I was expecting. I thought it was more of a sports bar and grill. It has more of a “local diner” atmosphere. The food wasn’t amazing but wasn’t bad either. The ranch is definitely OFF! $8 special price for mini tacos ( same ones you get at Speedway for $3…same quantity).

This place has some of the best bar food we have ever had. Everything appears to be home made. Beef brisket sandwich, chicken fingers, and onion rings where all excellent.

We were passing through town, and stopped here for lunch and drinks. The crab rangoons are the best we’ve ever had, and the drinks are NOT weak. The food is very VERY good, and staff is smiling and friendly. We’ll be back when we return to your side of the state. Thanks for a great lunch.

Stopped in on our way home from Gladwin to grab some take out. The Philly Steak pizza was recommended by my brother and it was wonderful! We also had the hand battered mushrooms. I couldn’t believe the size of the mushrooms and they were excellent. Great place to stop in for a cold drink, and a satisfying bite to eat.

Stumbled across The Back Forty while in the area for another matter. I noticed right away there were a lot of cars in their parking lot right at their opening time. I was still in the area around lunchtime so I too stopped in. Very good food, prompt service from order taken to cash out.

The guys seemed to really enjoy their food. My sweet potato planks were phenomenal. I have had better pulled pork bbq sandwiches. We will probably return.

It’s a great little place. Always willing to scooch some tables together for a larger party. The South West Chipotle salad is great and they make a decent bloody Mary. Really good fish too.
