The management is rude and unprofessional. I worked here for several months and had very inappropriate and rude things said to me by my employer. I finally left after never receiving pay even if I didn’t make at least minimum wage from tips. I finally finished schooling and got offered my permanent job. The only thing holding me back from starting is the fact the owner/manager will not talk to the department to verify my employment. I will never recommend this place to anyone; the food is not worth the management’s attitudes.

Worst dining experience of my life. First off my wife and I order sweet tea and were served with unsweet. No big deal. We wait approximately 15 minutes on our sweet tea which is delivered with our cheese sticks and about 1 teaspoon of marinara sauce. All I can figure out is that there was a shortage of marinara and they didn’t bother to warm it up either. No big deal. Anyways I proceed to order grilled flounder and I did specify grilled, my wife orders steak and shrimp. My flounder makes it to the table fried. No big deal. My wife’s steak and shrimp are served, just one problem, she doesn’t have a steak knife.Although I could have probably eaten the steak taking only one bite ( maybe that’s why they don’t give you a steak knife). No big deal. We checked our watch, 15 minutes later her steak knife and the sauce she asked for arrives with my flounder. By then the steak was cold and I wasn’t even hungry. We asked the manager to waive our bill for our inconvenience and she rudely insisted on us eating the steak. The waitresses were very apologetic and very nice, can’t say that about the manager. I can’t comment on the food because I didn’t eat. But from what I seen the dishes did not impress me. Captain D’s would have been a better choice for seafood. Anyhow, I got out of this sorry excuse for a seafood resturant for $30. Rude management, sorry service, decent cheese sticks.

Well for starters the owner was rude and snappy, the food is way over priced for what you’re getting, the owner and the lady behind the register kept running off and smoking so there was a line to be seated, a line to pay for the food, the food was pretty good just not enough of it they need to figure out their portioning. When I left a tip for my waiter the owner came by and snatched it off the table like it was hers. Would I recommend this place to anyone NO!

This restaurant is horrible as a resident born and raised in Louisiana this is the biggest insult to have Louisiana inspired dishes that tasted nothing close to the same dishes we are famous for .. the shrimp was very bland no spices at all . we paid to much for food that tasted like trash and the manager was insanely horrible . Our bill was 75.06 added a $5 tip to the car for the server looked at our statement the next morning we were charged 91.06 from the restaurant and they said it wasn’t there problem that it was our card I talk to the bank they said it was from the restaurant will never go back to this place !! Do not recommend this is not even close to authentic Louisiana food by no means

My wife and I have eaten here twice this year. Both times the service was excellent and the food was also. This last trip I had fried crab claws and my wife had fried Cobia (Ling). Both were lightly breaded and fried just right, not greasy. The price was affordable also. The entrée comes with cornbread and slaw plus a side of your choice. This is the best place in Cullman County to get fresh seafood prepared right!

The Angler is the BEST!! Great food and atmosphere!! They are known for their great catfish and seafood…but we love the steak and salads too! This is definitely one of the BEST places to eat in Cullman!!

Restaurant opening time is posted as 4:00 on Thursdays. We waited twenty-minutes never opened locked door. Left without opportunity to dine. Extremely poor business practice. Don’t think we will try again. Only rated one star as there are no lower ratings.

Simply one of the best restaurants in Alabama. Seafood is fresh and better than you can find in most seafood restaurants on the gulf coast. I highly recommend the Angler for a memorable dining experience.

I loved it “back in the day” but, it’s gone downhill like most places. Food is so greasy ssometimes that it makes you feel sick afterwards. Its a toss up to be good or bad.

Extremely small portions, very high prices for what you get and exhausting slow services. We sent $85.00 for a party of 4 and I’m still hungry.
