We were greeted with a friendly and inviting smile right at the door. Our server’s name was Mitchell, who provided excellent service and delivered the menu with an unpretentious tone, and furthered the experience with his shared knowledge of the menu. I hadn’t really been to restaurants with ever-changing menus, my only experience is from my younger brother, an aspiring private chef, so I suppose I’ve already been given a show of my own. He told me once that restaurants that are worth a damn always have a new menu, freshly sourced ingredients for that day, and “NO WINGS AS AN APP,” which was a great tip for the long term, when finding legitimate fine dining experiences. Anyway.

The food at the Anchorage was great. The sourdough bread was from a bakery down the street and had a great sourdough flavor. The burrata was very fresh. We enjoyed the beets and halibut as well. We likely would have tried the tasting menu if we were more hungry and didn’t have somewhere to be for desert.

What a wonderful dining experience. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We decided on the Tasting Table. We had small plates of everything on the menu. So, a nine course meal! That may sound like a lot, but the portions were perfect. I would go over each item, but apparently, the menu changes often. So I’ll just highlight our favorite two. Not to discount any other items, they all were very good! First favorite was the North Carolina Sheepshead Snapper. Crispy skin but melt in your mouth at the same time. The olive pesto put it over the top!

We’ve been to the Anchorage several times over the past few years and this place never fails to disappoint. The food is always wonderful, the servers are really helpful, and the cocktails are amazing (and strong). Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special occasion dinner – definitely get a reservation!

Great dining experience at the anchorage. Pleasant folks all around, menu with lots of different choices and great food. Our party of two enjoyed three entrees and the bread, two drinks and dessert. We left pleasantly satisfied. Also, the bartender upstairs was incredibly skillful.

Food was delicious and service was stellar. We brought our ten month old and the standout for us was how accommodating everyone was. They were so kind and welcoming to our whole family, and it really meant a lot to us. Highly recommend!

Amazing. Since it first opened it has been one of our absolute favorites. The Anchorage, located in the Village of West Greenville (the vill) serves up hyper local cuisine. Do the tasting menu, you won’t regret it. They have fantastic craft cocktails and a very nice selection of beer and wine. The atmosphere and service are always superb.

Excellent food and service! They have a smaller menu but everything we had was excellent. We opted for the meal that give you a little bit of several things on the menu. Totally worth do that if it’s your first time there. We will be going back for sure! This is a little gem that is well worth your time.

We did the tasting menu and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Every course was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and service are both exceptional. Can’t wait to go back.
