10/10 overall experience, one of the best “dinner out of home” I’ve had. From the start of walking in the door, the hostess was kind and conversational. I seldomly order dessert after dinner; I’m glad I did at Amsterdam. Started off with the duck and pork pâté and finished off with a delicious rhubarb gelato. Server was very attentive, it was a perfect setting for a date night. I do recognize the check was given to us while still enjoying our dessert and coffee, a bit of a turnoff but may have just been due to the time.

Highly recommend sitting on the very spacious back patio for brunch! You can’t reserve it online, but can either walk in and check if it’s available, or convert your existing reservation to the back patio, weather-permitting.

Delicious Sunday brunch here! Highlights include the Ginger Smash zero proof cocktail, duck and pork pate and the vanilla bean panna cotta. Brilliant service from the hosts and the servers, so accommodating helping us order a taxi and kept our baggage behind the reception desk. Highly recommend visiting The Amsterdam in Rhinebeck!

Many thanks to the Kayla, our fantastic server, and Fletcher, the General Manager, for making this one of the most fantastic evenings four friends could ever hope for! The food was amazing, wine beyond spectacular (thank you Fletcher for the fantastic choice) and the service, atmosphere and total experience rate 5 stars times 2! Looking forward to visiting this wonderful restaurant, and our new friends, when we return in September!

Great place for a date night or sitting at the bar with a friend. Our server was very attentive and I really liked our table tucked behind a wall near the front of the bar. We really loved the variety and local nature of the cheese and meat plate the chef chose, and the meat in our mains was cooked well. I thought the risotto was a bit bland and over cooked though.

Excellent menu. Well prepared food. Professional and thoughtful service. Recommended: chicken liver mousse appetizer, mussels with home made sausage meat crumbles in the broth, spaetzle, duck breast and a steak ordered medium rare that actually came to the table grilled mediim rare. Very pleasant staff. Uh oh. Ice crystals in the ice cream. No problem, says the server. I’ll take it off the check. Would you like something else? Our experience was based on 3 recent visits comprising eight diners/meals.

This was one of the BEST culinary experiences I have had in a long time. The servers worked in perfect harmony to create an experience that embodied the meaning of hospitality. On top of the service, the food was delectable, well portioned, beautifully plated and locally sourced. Please do yourself a favor and make a reservation. Their menu is seasonal but I recommend the ricotta & chorizo for starters.

We happened to be in Rhinebeck just for the day, we had a reservation but ended up sitting at the bar.

Had brunch here, celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary. Saw the menu ahead of time and looked good but no big expectations. Love when I’m wrong: food was delicious, everything from the omelet to the mimosas to the coffee after. I’m also a sucker for good service; been to many a fine dining space as a New Yorker, and I could take it or leave it honestly. More at home in a dumpy dive bar with solid music, good folks, minus weird dudes, and sweet bartenders. I dont take good service (more than moving quickly and getting orders accurate) for granted. The server who takes time they dont have working a station busy full of folks during their shift to help make your experience really wonderful, more than notable. I usually ask for a name to give thanks personally, but distracted with love today; good service, on top of a good cocktail, that’s when I go back to a spot. And when you get enough of the junk, you recognize and appreciate when you get the absolute opposite in being treated well. Our server was personable, attentive, funny, accomodating, had a really chill easy vibe, natural in the chat and laughter (coulda been a neighbor or community out and about stopping thru with a hey whats good) plus the whole good service joint. We also messed up our reservation, and were quickly given a table anyway. Thanks Amsterdam, appreciate yall.
