Crystal was an amazing server! Her personality was pleasant and she she very polite and inviting. As a former regular of Ainsworth the old atmosphere was WAY better than it is now. I miss the staff and former management that kept this place lively and wanting us to continuously come back time and time again. Since the change in not only management but the menu as well I’ve barely come back. I will say, despite highly missing their Truffle fries, Mac and cheese burger, Brussels and some others, their Catfish and Grits was an excellent addition to the menu. Solely for that food and Crystal, I may come more often for brunch but they need to bring back the live DJ for brunch again!

Crystal was our server and she was great — attentive and nice! She was awesome explaining the menu and getting us right. I got the fried catfish and grits and IT WAS FYE.

Lorin our waitress went ABOVE AND BEYOND with taking care of our party of 15. She was always making sure we had the food & drinks we wanted & even brought out sparklers & hooked us up with free food that the chefs made for us She was so funny, genuine, caring and sweet.

I made reservations based on a prior visit and a good experience this place has circled the drain in the year and a half since. We had reservations for 10:00 a.m. and when we arrived we were placed at at “standard” table which was a velvet couch with a tiny glass top table (like you would see in a VIP area of a nightclub). We asked to move to a hightop which we were able to do. The table was small and sticky but better than the alternative. There were 2 or 3 other tables in the restaurant and after about 10 minutes our waitress finally came over for drink orders. I ordered a Mimosa and my husband asked for a coffee and we were told the coffee was not ready yet. I’m not sure how you server breakfast/brunch and don’t have coffee ready when you’ve been open for almost a half hour. Our waitress asked us if we were ready to order and we stated we were not provided with menus to which we told there was a QR code on the table that contained the menu which would have been nice to know when were seated. While reviewing the menu about 5 minutes later she came back with water. Another 5 or so minutes passes and she finally came back over with my Mimosa and we attempt to order. We both were planning to get the breakfast plate which is your typical eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast and we we’re told the breakfast plate was not available but we could order all sides that make up the breakfast plate (so a side order of eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast). At that point we had enough and asked for our check to pay for my mimosa and we would go elsewhere. She comes back and 1 mimosa was $17.00! I have worked in the service industry for almost 20 years as a waitress and bartender and I can deal with a lot as i know circumstances are not always in your control but this was absolutely horrific.

We visited for dinner on a work outing with a group of 9 people on a Tuesday evening. I believe we were the only people in the entire restaurant. The food was average. We had appetizers of hot wings, garlic Parmesan wings, and crawfish Mac n cheese. The wings were average, similar to eating at any wing resataraunt. The Mac n cheese is very good however there was no sign of the crawfish. For the main course we had Cajun pasta, beef sliders, and a bison burger. The Cajun pasta was pretty good, although I felt it could have been served with bread or something as it had a lot of sauce. The sliders were very average, the buns they were served on were very hard and some of our group had to remove the patty to eat them. The bison burger seemed to be the favorite at our table. Two of our group had it and enjoyed it. Our service was excellent and the ambience was nice. Overall this isn’t a place I would go out of my way to eat at.

Cool atmosphere and good food. I had the French toast as it was recommended by the waitress over the chicken and waffles. It was soft fluffy and a great blend of sweetness with the strawberries and syrup on top then I rubbed it in powdered sugar. Yum! The bacon was cooked well not too light and not too hard. I had scrambled eggs and they were good. Cool mimosa bottle fire flame for celebrations – the DJs equipment was not working so I don’t know how the view would have been but it was a cool place for pictures m.

Going on the website, we reserved for dinner at 8 on Sunday, got there and the place was empty. They said they had no kitchen operating, which was good to know but we were baffled as to why the website hadn’t told us. It obviously hasn’t been altered at all from what was — we’re guessing — a previous version of the place. It looks like a bar-dance club deal, which is fine except that they don’t seem interested in letting people know that. Luckily we found a good Mexican place nearby, so the evening wasn’t a dud, but this was a really odd experience of a website giving a totally false impression of a business (and in Nashville they are supposed to know what they are doing in entertainment, catering etc!). Is this a business plan that hasn’t worked out, maybe?

I wish 0 stars were available. My friend booked this establishment for their engagement dinner about 1 month ago. You can’t get anyone on the phone. You have to correspond via email. We arrived for our reservation time on Friday and the lady at the bar advised us that they were closed due to no kitchen staff. The Manager or team lead didn’t call or email my friend regarding this. I am a person with disabilities, so the heads-up would have been appreciated. We lost out on $8 for parking. This was very bad business. I’ve never had to encounter such unprofessionalism and disrespect from an establishment. This was a very special occasion and someone thought enough of your establishment to want to share in on that occasion and this is how it turns out. No customer service & communication skills what so ever. They didn’t even apologize, offer to accommodate us on another day, or refund us for the parking fee for their mishap. I do want to add that we were well accommodate and the couple was celebrated at J Alexander. Chef’s kiss to them

We came with a group of 22 girls and had so much fun! Their cocktails were super cute too and the food and staff were great. Finished off with a gummy dessert too.
