Great steak house. Love the family style Steaks, so it’s great for parties as most cuts will feed the entire table. We had the sirloin at $18 per pound (ordered 2 lbs) and the steak alone was enough to feed four of us with some to even take home. Steak was cooked to desired temperature and wait staff was very attentive. I wish they had more sides to offer (mashed potatoes or mac & cheese would have put this meal over the top for me). They are famous for their tamales, but we somehow completely forgot about them, but gives us an excuse to visit the next time we are in town.

Real life
My wife heard great things about this restaurant. Please understand the menu before walking in. The steaks are sold per pound. The sirloin came in 2 sizes 1.5lbs and 2lbs. The 1.5lb steak was $33, $22 per lb. It says on the menu to allow x amount of time if you want your steak cooked rare to well done. I think it was 35min for medium. After getting our steak it was more on the medium rare side. This steak is big, it can feed 3 people easily. The sides are lacking. This is not on my top 10 places but I will give it another try.

My husband and I both ordered the Cowboy cut ribeye. We both agree the steaks were the best we have eaten in a long time from a restaurant! Only problem I had was the fries were way too salty for me. Everything else, excellent!

The worst place ever!!!!! They ran out of food. One of our party didn’t even get food at all. What we did get was good. I do not recommend a steak house that runs out of steaks!!!!! They ran out of baked potatoes, mushrooms, steaks, chili, spaghetti, gumbo.

Ordered a medium 16 oz steak and got it well done. Not sure how they overcooked a thick steak like that so badly. Ate it anyways, still flavorful and tender. Just disappointing to go to a steak house, wait 40 min and still get a steak that’s not cooked to what you ordered. Other than that, it was a pleasant meal. I’d try it again but definitely go for medium rare or rare on the steak.

This place was pretty expensive I was not very impressed with everything. The steak was about $40 which my wife and I split. Even after splitting it we still had some leftover. Overall our ticket was about $70. The food wasn’t bad just not worth the price. Their menu is really small not many choices other than steak’s which is fine because it is a steak house. They had a live band which was nice. They also had a pretty large drink menu. Overall I probably wouldn’t go back again.

It wasn’t terrible…well, the steak wasn’t. Sides, salad, appetizer, etc. kinda were. Salad looked like it had be in a refrigerator for a couple weeks. Really, the only luster to this place is the size of the steak. Not the flavor, not the quality, not the seasoning. Only that it’s big. I had the cowboy ribeye. Nothing special. Won’t be back.

This is strictly a lunch review. I had the hamburger and fries. The burger itself tasted good; however, the bun was larger than the burger itself – which happens. However, I’m not sure if the bun itself was super-toasted, or just crumbly. I couldn’t hold the burger without the bun falling into pieces. It was just HARD. Also, I’m not a big fan of “hand cut fries.” I don’t know why this is the rage but I prefer actual french fries. I would have taken potato chips instead but as I recall, they were not one of the sides offered.

First time to Doe’s. I appreciate and love a good steak. Date night for the wife and I. We’ve been to all the places in Jonesboro that offer good steaks. My personal favorite is the prime rib at longhorn. Tonight we opted to try something new. Atmosphere was good. Live music was really good. For a Friday night though the place was half full at most.

We won’t go back. The staff was friendly. The food is not that great, the menu has a very small selection. We ordered the house salad (they put their own dressing on it) and it was very bland. The bread is nothing but deep fried canned biscuits. If I had to rate the food I’d give it a 2, staff a 4. So I met them in the middle with a 3. We will stick to Longhorns.
