We were fortunate enough to call and get a last minute reservation. The service was top notch, with Emily and Amanda as our servers. We did not feel rushed. Our appetizer, palette cleanser of lemon sorbet, and our entree were perfectly timed. I had the pork chop, something I never order out, but was glad that I did. My husband had the special, veal parmigiana with risotto. Everything was delicious!. It’s also a BYOB with a minimal corking fee of $10. Highly recommended. We will be returning.

Newer restaurant that is now expanding to serving lunch – and soon, brunch as well. While their dinner prices are up there, their lunch prices are quite reasonable – as we found out on a recent visit. The ambience is very nice with tablecloths, and a bottle of water presented when seated. Service was superb on our visit with the single waitress catering to our every request and answering our every question. As soon as we gave our order, a bread plate was delivered with accompaniments. There were two different kinds of bread presented. One appeared to be a semolina bread with sesame seeds, the other a black pepper and cheese bread. The accompaniments included a honey butter, an herb-loaded oil, and a butter with black olives, red pepper chunks and all kinds of other things in there. We liked them all!

Delicious homecooked upscale dining in a home setting. Beautiful ambiance. Now serving lunch. The 404 burger changes weekly and they will tell you what it is day of your visit.

Out of this world! This might be our favorite place in Pittsburgh and already trying to line up the next time to visit. The food is simply among the best the city has to offer. We had the mussels, the Pasta G, the beef short rib bucatini, espresso creme brûlée, and coconut custard desert. Everything tasted so fresh, flavorful and just on point that we were amazed. Staff worked so well together in this cozy atmosphere to get dishes out and picked up and to just talk to patrons…I’m telling you, this really is a special place.

100% a fantastic dining experience. We are really excited to have a great restaurant in the South Hills. We absolutely loved the arancini appetizer and the swordfish entree. Gina and Dan are wonderful host. We can’t wait for them to open for brunch.

The best new restaurant in the area without a doubt. Absolutely the best gem in the south hills. everything from the bread service to the desserts I couldn’t say anything negative even if I wanted to. it is so good I’m writing this review while I’m still in the restaurant waiting for the check. If you haven’t been here yet you must put it on your list of places to eat. we will be here many times

An excellent experience of both food and atmosphere, The 404 and the folks who have brought it to life are all incredible. I ordered the Alaskan Halibut and it did not disappoint. It is possibly one of the best dishes I’ve had in all of Pittsburgh dining. It is paired with a taste of their signature ravioli allowing you to double dip so to speak when ordering this, and you will dip every bite in the saffron-vanilla sauce that accompanies it. The attention to detail from the start of the meal to the end were exactly as you would expect, and the numerous specials they had aside from the menu will allow for many unique experiences into the future. The Giovanni’s dessert was an epic treat as well. Can’t say enough positive things and I look forward to sharing with everyone I know. Gina, the owner, was so excited and Dan has roots in the industry with an affiliation to another bethel park staple restaurant, and they have really put together something special. It’s a small space so go now before they’re booking reservations weeks and months in advance !!!

I don’t write a lot of reviews but felt compelled to mention this place. The service was excellent and the food was very high quality. The recipes were really unique. My husband and I have been there twice since it opened and plan to go again this week. It’s BYOB with a corkage fee of $10 a bottle which is well worth it versus paying $12-$14 for a glass of wine elsewhere. Each time we were there, they also had homemade desserts, which were different each time we ate there. The filet was wonderful as well as the Pasta G and the beans and greens. It’s awesome to have a small, non chain place to go to and eat.
