My girlfriend and I stopped in because we were looking for a nice dinner and good vibe in the small town of Kenosha. I’m not from here so I googled dinner in the city. It was in the stars that we were directed to 1844. We didn’t have a reservation but we didn’t really need one because it wasn’t that busy (5pm). We decided to sit at the bar because that’s always our preference.

Great looking restaurant in the Stella. Service and appetizers were great. 3 of the four of our group had the Friday cod fish fry that looked incredible, but really missed the mark taste-wise.

If you are thinking about working OR eating here don’t. I’m a former employee and in my 14 years of service industry experience and my 17 years of work experience this was the worst place I’ve ever worked. Not only is the environment extremely toxic but it’s insanely micromanaged. Nearly everyone I worked with seemed to have the title of manager. I was having an issue with another employee constantly talking negatively about me to customers and employees and taking my tips so I reported it to the GM Tiffany and requested to no longer work with her. For three weeks I continued to work with her every single shift so I stopped going in and told HR (Tracie) that I would not be coming back until the situation was addressed properly. She responded right away stating she would talk with the GM Tiffany and get things sorted out. Two days later she emailed me letting me know that I voluntarily quit since I did not show up for work twice without saying anything and never addressed the situation about the employee I was working with.

We went to Sunday brunch buffet. Everything was delicious. They had everything you could want. Fresh fruit to bacon. You cam even make your own waffle. They also have a chef to make you an omelet.

Had a wonderful time for a birthday dinner. Our server Georgie was outstanding and the chef would check on us periodically which was so nice! If you’re looking for high quality food this is the place to enjoy for a date night or family. Would definitely go again!
