We are from New York City and visit our home in Sarasota often. This was our first time enjoying Thai in FL and let me tell you – better than Thai I’ve had in the city. The yellow curry with chicken was fantastic. Their sushi is so well made & fresh. Everything is just so fresh. Finished with a fabulous Mango Sticky Rice dessert. Will definitely be coming back!

We visited on a Friday night with plans to order takeout. Fortunately seats were available and we had a spectacular meal with the Fresh Basil Rolls, appetizer and Pad Thai Tiger Prawns. Our server and the Chef presented an unexpected surprise special dessert with flare which was topper for our unplanned yet excellent special night out. P.S We had enough Pad Thai with Tiger Prawns for two with some to take home .

Thai Spice and Shushi is a fantastic local place for dine in/takeout. The chefs specials & meals are pleasant, presented nicely, and are well balanced between salty/sweet. Everything tastes very fresh. In addition to the good food, the staff extremely welcoming and kind. There is always an effort to engage beyond taking orders and refilling waters. Which gives the restaurant a nice homey feel. I hope others enjoy this place as much as I do.

I went here for dinner on a Friday and was glad to have found this gem. The seating inside is very limited but I got here at 7 pm and was luckily able to get a table. Since it was busy and they might have been short staffed, the waitress wasn’t as attentive as we would have liked. I had the Sarasota roll, which was very flavorful and the Chicken Pad Thai was perfect and big enough for two or three meals. I can’t wait to go here again!

I didn’t want to write a bad review on Christmas Eve, but the experience isn’t a great one. For example, We ordered Green Curry and it didn’t have Egg plant as mentioned (and other veggies were there for namesake), I requested that it is unfair to charge $17 for it, so they went and changed the price to $15… and the green curry is the worst I ever had in my life.

I wanted to share our dining experience tonight as our food was excellent, and the staff exceptional! Despite 2 very rude customers who created a disturbance, the ladies were very professional and patient with the unruly customers. The patrons that night were so understanding of the stress the two caused. Once they left the restaurant, we, along with the others who were there, were able to finish our delicious meals. I highly recommend this restaurant, will definitely go back and bring friends!

So many great Thai options it was hard to choose. Our food was ready very quickly and tasted very good. The staff was also super friendly. I was a little surprised how mild the “Hot” option was. I’ll just have to go with “Thai Hot” next time.
