Great new spot we found during a late evening date night. 65 cafe is where we may be returning for all our Thai cravings in Redmond.

We happened to be around this block while hungry and like Thai food. They look for vaccination cards to be seated and tried the economy set. Service and the food is below average while you by default pay 20% for service fee. Bland food with no flavor is what it is, hence the tea was the best among everything else.

The noodles were on the greasy side, wish they were a bit dry to give it a proper noodle feel. The Thai basil chicken was good. The ambiance was good, nice place for lunch.

Rating this 3 stars because our take out bill was over $40 for a Pad Thai and Pads See Ew. I’ve never had Thai so expensive before.

I’ve been going here for a few years and have been disappointed the last 5+ visits. This last visit is the last straw. I get pad see ew with veggies which is pretty basic. I actually used to get it with tofu but they put soggy and overly chewy tofu I opted for veggies. They have consistently messed my order up. Either they have no chilli (zero, they forgot it) in it when I’ve asked for four stars. This last time they barely stirred the noodles so they were not flavored, white and clumped together, the picture is after I started to separate the noodles. It pains me because it’s so close by, but I am not going back when I consistently pay $20 to be disappointed. I hope they figure it out because it’s really sad that it’s not as good as it used to be.

The food is really expensive, portion size is small, taste is average and they add 20% to even take out orders without telling or asking you ( There should be law against this, feely like you got robbed ). To give this a perspective, I paid $52 for two dishes and a starter (Pic attached). In short never going there again and would not recommend this to anyone.

Edit: Went again to get a thai green curry with chicken. It comes with avocado or egg plant option. Got avocado. Now i don’t expect red chilly in green curry but to make my green curry 5 star they put a bunch of red chilli. It was overkill and got upset stomach. I think will pass on 5 star from next time.

This place is usually pretty nice, but maybe arriving around lunch isn’t your best bet. Staff is super friendly and nice, however I have been sitting in this booth for 35 minutes waiting for my lunch. This isn’t to say that Cafe 65 is a bad place, but I’m noticing that takeout is being handled faster than-oh wait, here’s my food.

Only had this place one other time. That one time was a positive experience so we’ve been wanting to have it again. Unfortunately this experience was a total let down. We somehow never got charged the 20% service fee the first time so we got blindsided by that. And to top it of, there was a fairly large piece of metal in one dishes. An unfortunate and unpleasant experience overall.

Stopped by for lunch and ordered a thai iced tea woth coconut milk and the orange chicken lunch special. The portion size of orange chicken was much smaller than I expected. Most of the plate was noodles and white rice which were both cold. I wasn’t a fan of the pad thai but that could have something to do with the temperature rather than the actual flavor. The orange chicken was average. Overall, pretty dissatisfied with my overall experience.
