Really good bbq! Today was my third visit. I got a 1/2 chicken with sides and a drink. The chicken is moist, tender and flavorful with a light smokiness and not too much salt. Sides are on point too. Service is excellent, plumb neighborly. Will definitely continue my patronage here.

This is good BBQ! Tried the ribs, brisket, and jalapeño cheese sausage. Tore it up! Plenty to eat on my plate! Sat outside behind the building…..nice!

First time here. Sorta hidden off the highway but use the yellow signs for guidance. Most of the gems are hard to find anyways, right? Great service, gentleman that helped me was extremely welcoming and nice. Ordered the I35 pileup. Very good, nice flavors and I could taste the freshness. The pico had nice color and freshness in each bite. If I had to compare this to the “trash can plate” from somewhere I won’t mention…. I would pick this every time no doubt. Both are priced about the same, but here there is a lot of flavor in each bite.

I had the opportunity to try Texas Smokehaus BBQ on Airport Rd in Temple after an appointment before heading back to Killeen to go back to work at Amplify Hive. They were both so kind and helpful. I ordered a brisket plate with potato salad and beans. I loved the tangy bbq sauce on the really tender meat. The potato salad was just right and the beans with the meat in it were a smokey flavor too. Was priced really well and I thought the umbrella covered picnic table seating was great. It was daytime so I didn’t go into Honeycutts Bar next door but I learned it’s been around for almost 70 years. Pretty cool!

GREAT! Another one I can’t really give a good review on based on food or service. They’ve failed before I even get in the door. ONLY open 3 days a week. The food business is a 7 day a week business because that’s the number of days every week that people eat. If you don’t want to work except when it suits you, then the food business is not for you. Perhaps a job renting out boats on the lake would be more appropriate for a person who only wants to work weekends.

Had a rack of ribs and give them a thumbs up. Owner was very nice. Did not try sides, since eating carnivore.

We had brisket, sausage, beans, and corn. The brisket was okay it had more fat than I lile and less smoke than many, the sausage was good, the beans were okay nothing special, and the corn was the bomb. Spicy green chilies in the corn. They were out of ribs, I’ll try those if I return. The service was good and prices were fair…..oh I don’t recommend their sauce. Very vinegary. I used my own.

The BBQ ribs were fantastic! Drove in from Missouri today and it was the first restaurant we went to.

Came up from North Carolina for a graduation and looking for a local BBQ place came across the best BBQ Brisket. Potato salad was delicious, as I am very picky as I will only eat my mamas. They were very friendly people. Some of the best Customer service!

Absolutely the best BBQ I have ever had. The brisket was as tender as they come, the ribs were sooo good, and the regular sausage was amazing. This place will always be my go to for BBQ.
