We had a group of 6, and our waitress did a fantastic job. My tea was never below half glass. I ordered the 8oz bacon wrapped filet (medium), and it was cooked perfectly. Got a dinner salad with the meal. Loved it. The fresh bread was great as well. Kind of reminds me of a pretzel bread. We will be back.

The food is good. I am one of those terrible people who likes their steaks well done. I got a rare steak saturated on blood, and the server told me that it was in fact well done. It was not, she took it back to have it cooked longer and came a minute later (like literally a minute) with medium well steak. (Clearly a different streak)I took it to the Lodge and finished cooking it myself. The Okra, fried pickles, hamburger, fries, chicken and ham sandwiches were amazing though. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great. And their menu is a good read too.

Clean cheerful environment. Excellent service. Excellent food. Nice bar selection of mixed drinks, beers and wines. They do not take reservations so if you’re in a rush, don’t waste your time, but it was well worth the wait, relaxing, in comfortable chairs. While waiting for our turn to be called for our table. The people around us we’re friendly. We vacationed in Red River and our group liked this restaurant so much we ate dinner here twice.

This was a great place. It was full. That tells you what you should know when you read a bad review. Anyone can have a negative experience at anytime. Try feeding this many people everyday and everything is perfect. The food was all good. Our sweet server knocked herself out to meet our request.

I ordered the trout with salad and okra. I love to fish and eat it once or twice a week. The trout was some of the worst I have had at a restaurant. It was dry with no seasoning. I took two bites and sent it back with the waitress. She was nice and brought me a plate with just okra. The okra was over cooked so only half was eaten. She charged us $6 for the okra and $6 for a tiny side plate of salad. I didn’t even ask for the okra she just brought it out. Not happy at all with the service or food. Very touristy and poor quality overcooked food.

The food was over cooked the hostess was terrible. She was rude. After we were told we could be seated they seated several parties ahead of us. Because our party was separated after we had to sit away from each other in the small waiting area. After we waited 45 minutes. It is not handicapped accessible. I had a terrible time getting in. All the floors are crooked and planks sticking up. I do not recommend.EDITED TO SAY the soup taste burnt.
