Cannot believe we haven’t stopped in sooner. This hidden gem has a wonderful family run vibe. Casual place, and outstanding food and wonderful service. Can’t go wrong with the melts and they have a “shot of the day” which was corn when we stopped in. Everything tasted great. Ingredients tasted fresh and their chili was a wonderful option on a cool day. They are open early with breakfast tacos and breakfast options as well! Can’t wait to go back!

We love this place! I am so excited that y’all are here New Braunfels. It’s great having great local eateries that are so delicious like this one! My favorite is the papas rancheros tacos for breakfast. My kids love the chorizo egg and cheese. My kids order those kind of tacos all the time but this place is their very favorite! They have a fantastic looking menu! I can’t wait to try everything else! Texas Melts ROCKS!!! I highly recommend you go visit them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So it’s not a dine in restaurant, they have a pickup window. The door to the restaurant is locked, which makes sense since it’s pickup/Togo only but when I went there was no sign on the door. There was also no obvious evidence of the pickup window until the guy unlocked and opened the door and told me to go to the window. The service was below average as the kid working the register waited for me to pay and then informed me that the wait would be 45 min. I asked why he didn’t tell me that first so I had the option of going somewhere else and he just stared blankly. The weather was cold and rainy and there is nowhere to sit outside. So you can stand in front of the place or walk back your car and hope you can hear them call your order. The menu is fine but the items are pricey, especially for a grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered the “Big T Steak Melt”. Overall the sandwich tasted good, except for a huge chunk of inedible gristle that took up a large portion of the meat portion. The food was similar in flavor to Steaks to Go’s steak sandwich, however it was TINY. And came with a portion of fries that was undercooked and soggy and barely filled the corner of the to go box. Drink options are tea and a fairly poor assortment of off brand sodas from a can.

Tried TX Melts today. My husband ordered Patty Melt I ordered Steak Melt and we shared. Absolutely delicious!! Melts were warm and delicious, fries hand cut the side corn cup a plus sweet tea was also great! We will definitely be going back. Definitely recommend! Great job!!!!

Let me tell you something. If you want a great patty melt that’s fresh and amazing, this is where you need to go. I ordered the original and it was fantastic. I brought my boys to eat there and they left nothing behind with their meat and cheese sandwich. The staff was friendly and the owner came out and checked on us as we ate outside. This is a new start up and we should support great local businesses. The dining room wasn’t open yet but they said it will be open in the next 3 to 4 weeks. So expect to take food out.

First time here! Kinda hard to spot when driving by on Walnut but it is a block away and across from the shell gas station. Has Texas Melts graffiti logo on outside of building. GPS will take you there.

I had lunch at Texas Melts for the first time today. I ordered the Big T Steak Melt and fries. The fries are hand cut, hot and delicious. The sandwich is served on Texas toast, a nice light change from a bun. This is the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had. Lots of steak and melted cheese, so filling. Looking forward to my next meal at Texas Melts
