Probably the best BBQ you will get on the island, with amazing scenery. I really enjoyed the brisket, turkey breast, red vinegary sauce, and the gravy with mashed potatoes.

So happy they finally reopened, and in one of the best spots for marina dining in Hawaii Kai. Love their brisket, mac and cheese, and beans – that’s what I typically order. Sampled my friend’s Kalbi short ribs one day and they were OK but the brisket is better.

Outstanding marina front dining!! So many fabulous choices, the Brisket Street Tacos were incredible, the smokey moist brisket was unbelievable! Also came with home made tortilla chips & salsa, a lot of tasty food for the money, with marina front outdoor seating nothing beats it! We also had the BBQ plate w/Brisket, baked beans & coleslaw, and a roll, perfect blend of flavors. We started w/onion rings, we will definitely be back Soon! Great atmosphere, good prices and friendly service, Mahalo Timmy!

We tried the new location and had the fish and chips + sausage with sides + beer and wine. Good portions and good food compared to the place next door. Price is OK with us as well. A lot of the workers are new and still learning the job so in time the service will improve. My wife liked it and will bring her other family members who live in Hawaii Kai to the new Hawaii Kai location. Thanks Tex 808 for hanging in there to open your new location. Good Job and your staff were all so friendly and nice. Changed to five star because the service is excellent now.

Friday night my wife and I went out to dinner to TEX 808 BBQ + Brews Hawaii Kai. The food was really good and the amount was quite surprising. We had small wings as appetizer, and I had pulled pork sandwich and wife had the small briskets plate. We both ended up with almost half our meal as take out even though it was very good. Had buffalo wings and they had a smokey flavor also. But to top it off the service was great. We pulled up in our boat and one of the guys actually helped us tie up. Not expected at all but was quite nice. Seamed like they had plenty of staff to take care of everyone and the manager came around to all the tables to see how things were. Overall, it was just a really pleasant and surprising experience. Definitely recommended giving it a try.

I had the Valentine’s dinner for two.I loved it. The prime rib was served at the perfect temperature, medium rare. The sides: lobster mac n cheese, was velvety creamy and cheesy,deep fried corn on the cob had amazingly unique flavors of grilled BBQ. But save room for dessert.The banana pudding was made with real bananas, so good. The key lime pie was rich with fresh lime flavors, too.The ambiance here is like a sports bar feel, not romantic.I also ordered their homemade lemonade vodka cocktail with Titos! Yum! I recommend this place if you want to experience authentic Texas down home cooking in Honolulu.

Visited Tex 808 BBQ Hawaii Kai for dinner. Restaurant is on an inland waterway so we had a table in the open air (covered) lanai. Nice view of the water and Kokohead too.
