Well, Today I went to see (The Final of the Champions League), a soccer match. The place was very crowded. I felt desperate because the place did not have Air Conditioner and the temperature outside was almost 90 degrees. Very hot inside the restaurant!!!!!!!! I was sweating the whole entire time!!!! Management did not do anything to solve the problem. I told the waitress about the AC issue and she did not say anything. There was also a baby who did not have any clothes because he was too hot. The food was average and super expensive. I am not looking forward to go back to Tete. I rather watch the game in my house and be comfortable In my leaving room with Air Conditioning and eating more delicious food at a better price.

I ordered the chicken Tico wrap lunch special and it was absolutely bland and horrible. There were 3 shreds of chicken and 1 piece of plantain in it. It was filled with soggy rice and beans. The fries were too salty and they also did not give me utensils. I guess I should have read the review below regarding this dish before ordering since it seems our experience was exactly the same. The service did not even make up for this horrible food because the food was late and the credit card machine wasn’t working. The waitress tried to play it off like they don’t accept cards until she told me the truth.

The waiter was good but the only there. I asked for chicken and requested the thigh but brought me the breast of the chicken. When I asked to change it, they brought it cold. It was not even warm but really cold. They don’t even offer bread or roasted corn like other Peruvian restaurants. The owners need to invest in the service. The waiter tried but there were too many tables to handle for one person.

This place is such a gem in an area that’s flooded with chain restaurants and 24-hour diners. It’s located in a very congested area of route 1, which is the only reason I don’t go as often as I’d like, but when I do, I always leave very happy. Staff is nice, wait times are always very accurate, and the food is just delicious. Saturday’s and Sunday’s are their craziest days, as breakfast and brunch are their specialty, so be prepared to wait for a bit- it’s worth it!

This was the first time we tried Tete’s, we were hesitant because of the number of bad reviews. These people must be confusing it with someplace else. The food was delicious, the servers were very friendly and the food came out quickly. Also, there was a great jazz band playing at dinner time. We will definitely be back!

The place is always understaffed. Takes forever to get your order, then they charge an automatic 18% gratuity even when you had to get your drink from the counter. The owner is rude and always threatens to kick you out when you raise concerns about the extra charges on your tab. Last Sunday, one of the owners chocked a customer who had queried these extra charges. The poor guy almost died. He was unconscious for hours. He had to be rushed to hospital. This place is a total digrace!!

The food is good. No complaints on the quality. However, since they moved across the street the prices went up considerably, and the portions seem to have gotten smaller while quality is the same. For example, we used to get the tico wrap, which was a regular sized wrap (approx. 3″ wide, 1″ high, 8″ long). Now it’s more expensive and the overall size is like a really long egg roll, with a lot of fries. So it’s filling but mostly b/c of the potatoes.

Just ordered the Tico Wrap and I have to say it was a HUGE disappointment. It’s advertised as a wrap with your choice of sautéed beef or chicken with rice, beans and plantains. It comes with fries and your choice of soup or salad. The wrap was mostly mushy rice that was barely recognizable. The chicken was very sparse and I didn’t see or taste any plantains. It also had a funny taste like it was burnt. I gave two stars because I have been here before and the mussels appetizer was excellent. I also forgot to mention I chose the salad over the soup and was not given any utensils. I don’t mind eating fries with my hands but the salad. . .

This would be my second time frequenting this establishment, and I must say both times I was there the customer service sucked! The servers are socially unconscious folks, who treat people of color different from white people. When I went in to order, the server barley made eye contact with me, which led me to believe she was prejudice against me. Secondly, they failed to informed when my food was done, so I was left sitting there , lost waiting for my food longer than anticipated. I wouldn’t eat here ever again due to the sucky customer service and the pretentious vibe I got , which was so uncomfortable. Not sure if they are racist , prejudice against people of color , but I will never spend money here again, due to the ignorance the servers demonstrated towards me
