This place is beautiful! Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. We went for brunch and everything was amazing. The bread and butter was delicious almost like Hawaiian style with a slightly sweet baked bread. Our waitress explained they have a daily special butter and today it was black cherry. Shrimp and grits was out of this world and the short rib and egg was fantastic. Thee meat was so tender it fell apart…no knife needed. Everything was cooked perfectly. A great place for brunch with friends.

Atmosphere is stunning and Oooh, that soft bread with today’s maple butter….amazing! Wish I could have said the same about the crab quiche. A tad salty, fishy and surprisingly thin. Dry as if it had been reheated one too many times….. although by the time it arrived, it was only room temperature. Crust was probably frozen not freshly made. Also presented with a chunk of the crust missing. Strawberry lemonade very refreshing. To somewhat compensate for the quiche, I ordered the coconut cake. Extremely dense but moist and flavors blended well. Waiter seemed a little frazzled and had some difficulty hearing our requests over the chatter in the room. Had to ask twice for the to-go container. All in all, our table enjoyed the experience. Restaurant has great potential and will definitely give it another try.

Wow. Five star experience tonight. First time at Terrain cafe Doylestown with friends from out of town and we had a fabulous experience.

I went to Terrain this past weekend for brunch and was pleasantly surprised! I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but I was delighted by the food I ordered. The avocado toast was packed with flavour—one of the best avocado toasts I have had. I ordered their lavender latte which was also lovely.

We have been meaning to try Terrain since it opened a few weeks ago. I was able to book a table for three outside the same day from my Google Maps app. We were seated right away, the service was great. The ambiance was excellent with all the plants and flowers throughout the restaurant and the outdoor seating area. The menu is fairly limited but has just enough for most people to find something to eat. They have some really tasty cocktails and non alcoholic drinks. There is a beer and wine section too. The food was very good but just not quite great. The price is commensurate with a typical higher end restaurant in Doylestown. While I wasn’t blown away with the food itself, the service and surroundings certainly helped to make the meal.

We finally got around to trying Terrain Café and really enjoyed our meal. For the food: I can happily and wholly recommend the mushroom soup as well as the avocado toast, which isn’t your cookie-cutter avo toast and satisfyingly pulls off its subtle twist of a delicious sunflower romesco layer under the avocado. We also ordered the french fries appetizer with the truffle pecorino added: Overall, a great taste, but we thought the truffle pecorino would work better as a cream or if it were more melted on; as it was, you had to either press it onto the fries or balance it on top to get it in your bite, and naturally the bite was more of a dry & quite mild combination of the flavors rather than a smooth & slightly more noteworthy blend (as we would’ve preferred)… That’s personal taste, but we both agreed the fries were almost great but not quite for these reasons, so I thought I’d note it.

Our party of 4 had breakfast Sun July 2nd at Terrain Cafe. We each got something different: fried avocado benedict, shrimp & grits w/asparagus & radish, braised steak & eggs(didn’t come w/ steak knife), omelet w asparagus & camembert. All enjoyed our meals. I had the 4 extra large grilled shrimp with asparagus and radish which was on top of grits made in a style that I had not seen before. The grits were whipped and fluffy like mashed potatoes. Our waitress brought two loaves of bread, presented inside clay flower pots, on top of a small cutting board. The bread did not come with any type of bread knife. We struggled to find room for the bread board on the table and yet the meals hadn’t arrived yet so we stacked up coffee mug saucers and put them aside along with appetizer plates. When the meals arrived they all appeared with beautiful presentation and were served hot. It was a challenge to get the coffee refills but I think our waitress could have checked in on us more frequently. I did not like her practice of taking all the cups together and refilling them at her coffee station. I didn’t know if I would get my own cup back and whether or not the person drinking decaf would end up actually getting decaf. The milk and the cream were switched and misidentified. The decor is beautiful in the restaurant and the retail store. Ladies room smelled of fresh paint so an open flame candle was burning to combat smells apparently. Ladies room was dimly lit & muggy/ hot /needs air circulation, a massive Oscar the Grouch metal trash can fill the void between the two sinks. Anything negative I’ve mentioned is minor and I would not take away a whole star for it.

Perfect for plant lovers! Beautiful atmosphere inside and out. Aesthetic was so peaceful and visually pleasing with natural wood everywhere and obviously tons of plants. The cafes menu had great brunch items and lunch options were decent as well.. The drink menu for wine, cocktails, and mocktails was refined and perfect for this place. Refreshing! Couldn’t recommend this place more for brunch or lunch with the gals or just any plant lovers perfect outing.
