Used to love brunch at Terra, but lately I’ve only gotten the takeout and it is awful. A “roasted beet and goat cheese salad” was a pile of arugula with a couple small slices of beets, a tiny sprinkling of goat cheese, and the “toasted pecans” couldn’t have been more than half of one pecan. Maybe it’s better if you dine in, but I would avoid using the takeout.

What is a quaint, quiet with a hint of upscale restaurant? Terra American Bistro is just that. We were looking for a new brunch spot to try and we stumbled across this one. What a great place. Most things are homemade and are delicious. Bottomless mimosas are only $6 here.

Jeff Rossman and his team delivered an award winning experience for our daughter’s college graduation dinner party of 18. A small team of 2 Flash Gordon Servers, 1 bartender and 1 runner were able to keep our cocktails coming without ever an empty glass at the table. The Roasted Salmon were recommended to have it cooked medium, which means the fish were fresh enough to have it done to our liking. The salmon were so tender and tasty. The 12 hour wine braised short ribs just melted in your mouth with complexed flavors that opened up our appetite. We were surprised to see how clean everyone’s entree plate were consumed – considering we stopped for pizza and beers before showing up for dinner at Terra’s that late noon. Our guests were from San Jose, New Jersey, Minnesota, Texas and Hawaii. Everyone were pleased with their food, and the impeccable service. As we, from Hawaii, would say: “A Big Mahalo” to The Team at Terra’s American Bistro.

I often order the Terra burger, and its hit or miss if the bun is mushy and too wet. Sometimes the truffle fries have truffle and parmesan, sometimes they hardly have any. The food is inconsistent. Also, their hours suck. I always seem to want to pick up something to go when they’re closed. It cant be just me this happens to…. I often wonder how much money they are leaving on the table by not being open at 3pm and closing at 10pm 7 days a week.

Yummy!! We went last night for the first time. They were extremely short staffed. Things came out slow, and not everything we wanted, was available. But it was fantastic!! The staff was so friendly and we were told the moment we walked in, ‘the kitchen is backed up and we have 1 server for the whole room’. We had the option to leave. We had time, we stayed and it was just so so yummy! We will definitely be back. We both remarked; if it was this good on a very very off night, we can’t wait to be back, on a good night!
