This is our first time trying this place and we were pleasantly surprised! It’s always a struggle to find a food place that has healthy options for me and delicious, less healthy options for my husband The food is delicious, it tastes like it was just pulled off the grill for us, as if we had a cookout ourselves! My husband had his bowl with Asian noodles (which were delicious) and I had an all veggie power bowl with spicy tofu. So so so good! Giving freshido a run for their money! And it’s only $8-$10 per person, which is super cheap!

Rice had too much water and no flavor, the “teriyaki” is alright I guess, the sauce isn’t really mixed in with the chicken, maybe 6 strips of chicken and the rest just wet rice on the large bowl, I’ll never be back, but hey if you don’t trust me, give it a taste and when you see I’m right, leave me a comment here .

Certainly is not authentic Japanese food, but for a quick meal at a decent price not a bad option. The staff today was extremely friendly and personable, checking on our meals and how we liked it even though this is more or less a fast food place. Definitely going to go back next time I’m in the area. Must say that the eating utensils are certainly innovative!

I was a real big fan of Teriyaki Madness when I first discovered it in Chambersburg and was delighted when it came to Swatara. However, the past few times I have been here I have seen a decline in quality of both the restaurant and it’s food. This franchise feels like it’s on the decline. Outside, the temporary signage is tattered, there are only 2 light bulbs on while the remaining 25 or so light bulbs are off in the dining room. Many of the tables were dirty from the lunch hour, but still dirty in the empty restaurant when we came in the afternoon. I asked the attendant if she could wash our table and she did, but did not take the time to wash any other tables. This restaurant needs to up it’s game since there are many great restaurants around it (Panera, Moe’s, 5 Guys, Chick-fil-A). They need to consistently wash the tables and turn the lights on showing that they are open for business. Additionally, the fried rice I paid for did not appear completely done. It was a mixture of white rice and fried colored white rice, so it tasted steamed and not fried (mushy). I really want to like this place, but it’s going to take a lot of effort on the restaurants part to step up it’s game to match the other options next door.

I really loved this place when it first opened up, but they’re just way too inconsistent. When they’re good, everything is great – service, taste, portions, etc. But I’ve had multiple issues: way too little chicken (large bowl with extra chicken that had less than my wife’s regular bowl), flakes of burnt char on chicken and throughout veggies, and really slow service. The worst part is that if you raise an issue to a worker they will insist it’s right. If you reach out for corporate or management, they’ll fix it, but it’s a lot of hassle to get good takeout.

We absolutely love coming here when we have that craving for Asian fusion. The food is always hot and made fresh to order. The staff is always so friendly as well, which makes it a great experience. Love having this establishment in our community.

Although the food was fine, I think I’d rather just eat at a Chinese restaurant. The fried rice and meat was much more greasy than just going to your neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The food, though, was not the actual problem. The entire restaurant smelled like a dirty bathroom, the floor was sticky, and the tables had not been wiped properly. The bathroom was gross and there were ashes on the sink! The employees looked so sad and tired, too. They were pleasant enough but they were not in good moods. It was also deadly quiet in there; they have a Sonos speaker system in the dining area that was not being used. Eventually there was music coming from the kitchen (?). Such an odd experience. We will not be back.

My friend and I stopped here for dinner. I spent $15 and wasn’t wowed by anything. There is no music or anything playing in the restaurant which was uncomfortable. Beyond that, the biggest issue was the employees, they were all yelling at each other while we sat and ate. Half way through our dinner one of the employees went in the back somewhere to smoke but the whole dining room was filled with dirty cigarette smoke. Literally the least appetizing thing. Definitely disappointing. The staff’s behavior was unacceptable.
