Ordered the curry karage and pork katsu plate. Don’t have too high expectations, as the food is just okay yet will still satisfy your craving. Sad to say that cleanliness is lacking. The cashier handed me my utensils by grabbing all over the wrong end of the spoon/fork. They have a B rating for their health rating.

My mom got me the Special Yakitori Don from Tempura House. So it has been there for about 73 Years!! Just 2 more and it will be there 75th Anniversary!! They have many different kinds of meals that look good. You can look at there website what they have. So I haven’t tried the Yakitori Don that my mom got but hopefully it will be good.

Quaint little spot that has been around for a while. The team is very friendly and kind. Service is prompt and on point. There are about 12 items of some variety, and flavor! I opted for their chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki dishes come in regular or spicy (for an additional dollar). While it is on sawtelle they seem to have pretty good parking availability out front, and one meter spot reserved for pick up. It is take out only (no indoor seating); but there are a couple tables out front to use! Recommend parking on the streets perpendicular west of sawtelle; they are unmetered and unlimited outside of the street cleaning window. The chicken teriyaki was solid, but not amazing. The salad has a potato salad on top. The teriyaki sauce has a light viscosity.

Great to see that they have reopened! menu and set up has changed a bit. They take credit cards. They now have a few indoor and outoor seats if you want to eat at the restaurant, but food is packaged to go. Daily specials are posted on Instagram account.

Tried the karaage and menchi katsu — phenomenal. I cannot emphasize how juicy both the chicken and katsu were. I have tried many other menchi katau and karaage, but this one tops them all !!

Good place! It is a complete hole in the wall. Process are actually very reasonable. The owners run it and only speak Japanese, and believe it or not the husband speaks Spanish, but little English.
