A pizza place on Bloomfield Avenue in center of Montclair. This spot has been changing quite a bit for sometime. But this is a good pizza. They only have Sicilian pizza but they are to that thick and crust is crunchy and tasty. They have many kinds of toppings. Hope this pizzeria sticks to this spot.

I’ve walked by a million times and my husband and I finally decided to grab a slice. Our typical go to is the crispy thin crust new haven style so we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it! I particularly loved how crispy the slice was throughout its entirety. We tried the pepperoni, white, and mushroom. They were all flavorful but the mushroom truffle one was my favorite! We will definitely return for more. I also loved how fast and friendly my experience was!

This family owned pizza bar creates excellent artisan pizza. They are handmade to order, with the freshest ingredients. The delicious crust is definitely the star of the show here! Toppings are diverse and top notch and the pizza size is 12”x 18”, so servings are filling. The owner/chef is friendly & cordial and the open kitchen allows customers an unrestricted view of his creativity. The prices are definitely worth the quality ingredients and creative talent. Parking can be quite challenging, so ordering online for in-person or curbside pick-up is advisable or use a delivery service. The eat-in counter/waiting area is small and clean and wait time is reasonable. Entrance is handicap accessible.

I just had the most amazing pizza at Teglia. A great local gem! My entire family of 6 all enjoyed the different kinds of pizza I brought home for dinner. My daughter and husband were in a fierce debated over which they liked better. They both agreed to disagree that the white meatball and Artichoke and garlic are both equally as good. Plentiful are the toppings on both with just the right amount of ingredients and cheese. I have hypertension and have to stay away from salty foods like pizza but sometimes I give into my cravings. I was pleasantly surprised that my body didn’t react and I wasn’t swollen in the morning like I normally am after eating pizza. Finally a pizza place that I can enjoy regularly without any adverse effects due to my condition. I’ll probably go back next week!

So Montclair is known for good pizza but I just discovered the cream of the crop!! Teglia is a small spot that just opened on Bloomfield Ave. and it’s a MUST TRY!! I went in just after 4pm and met the owner/executive chef Joe. We didn’t order online so we got a chance to chat with him as he hand prepared our pie. He brought his extensive background into Teglia and the menu shows it. It was hard to decide on which Roma style pie to order but we settled on the white meatball….this time! My wife talked me into a slice of butternut which she had been eyeing online that was surprisingly AMAZING. Who would have thought to put butternut squash puree on pizza?! All the ingredients are top quality and super fresh. Then his special recipe dough crisps up to perfection after taking 3 days to prepare!! We went home with the white pie and it traveled very well. The white sauce was delicious and creamy with a generous amount of meatball and spinach. Its truly a must try! We will be back very soon to try the others.

I saw on an Instagram post from East Side Mags that there was a new pizza place, so I decided to try it and support local businesses. The owner was very nice. Looking at the website, it was hard to decide, so I got the Jersey, White Meatball and Artichoke & Spinach. The Jersey was the best of the three. The White Meatball, had small crumbles of meat and was very, very salty. So much that I couldn’t finish the slice. The crust was quite chewy on this pie as well. Next up the Artichoke & Spinach, which based on the pie I got, should be renamed the Garlic Artichoke pizza. It had so much garlic on it that it camouflaged the taste of the artichoke. Also, there was so much cheese on it that it was pooling in the middle of the pie. They did travel well, and were still fairly hot when I got home. Hard to tell from the website how big these pizzas are, it would be helpful to give an approximate size to help when ordering. Will I order again, probably not.

Ordered a few pizzas to Montclair Brewery last night for my wife’s birthday and everyone was so happy with the pizzas we ordered from Teglia. The topping combinations were amazing and unique and the crust was excellent. The pizzas were much bigger than they seemed in the photos which was a plus. Delievery was fast and pizzas were hot. Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and coming from NJ that’s really saying something. 10/10

The tastiest square pizza in NJ. The margherita is a classic. My favorite for those who like heat is the margherita with Ndjuda and pepperoni. Delivery was quick. The website ordering isn’t as seamless as the big delivery apps, but support local and order directly from Teglia. Can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.
