Summary: decent food albeit rather expensive, we spent $51 for 3 dishes. We ordered delivery through Doordash so I cannot speak to the service or ambiance of the actual restaurant.

All I tasted was oil and fat, I ordered regular broth which supposed to have the most broth but look there is barely any broth, under flavored and a mouthful of fat! Did not like it a bit!

Used to come a lot eating here cause it’s next to the asian market. I probably would never come back again if they don’t improve. Just checked this lamb paomo, the meat are all fat and barely edible. So basically 18.7$ you get some soup with momo. Go some other places for better xi’an food and paomo.

Absolutely the best lamb you can find. I grew up in inner Mongolia and they get my endorsement. My go to place for a delicious lunch.

Cafeteria seating. While taking my sweet time to order at the kiosk, 100% of the other orders were in Chinese language. But you can order in English and there’s a helpful chef there if you have questions. I ordered cumin grilled bun, shrimp fried rice, taiwanese sausage. I really liked it all. My friend recommended any noodle dish there. Busy but pretty fast considering. This a new lunch spot for me.

I won’t judge the service since this restaurant is self-serve!

Ordered the braised chicken with potato, cold noodles and toasted Bun W/Pork. Chicken didn’t taste like marinated except the outside. Given noddle is too thin and not chewy. Cold Noodle is normal. Toasted bun itself is thin and no layers, not sure why but the one we order had a lot of onions and favor is totally wrong for it’s kind. Just not good at all.

Fun, casual, open cafeteria seating, and some bang-up Xi’an food! It’s not that easy to find Xi’an style, so it’s a treat to have a genuine one nearby. Not a sit down restaurant with ambiance, more of a takeout place you can sit at. Still, at least to this American the spices and taste are competitive with the pricier and farther away venues.

I had Taste of Xi’an for the first time about a year ago and it was amazing! The food was delicious, full of flavour and unique. I had a fantastic experience that has made me come back often ever since. What makes it even better is that the prices are so affordable – you get great quality food without having to break your budget. All in all, I’m thrilled with Taste of Xi’an and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for Chinese takeout.

The food I ordered was delicious – it tasted just like I would expect from an authentic Chinese restaurant. I’m so glad I found this place! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great Chinese takeout.
