It was my first time trying this place out and I was satisfied with everything the food was well seasoned and full of flavor.I ordered the medium size oxtail, white rice and steamed veggies with side of mac and cheese. The price is reasonable and you get a lot of food eat some now save some for later. Their food look just like the picture that’s displayed outside the restaurant. The atmosphere inside is very comfortable, relaxing and clean everyone was so nice great customer service. I definitely will be returning 10 out of 10 I recommend

Great service. Smiling faces and hospitable too. We ordered 3 large oxtail meals with rice and peas, steamed vegetables and plantains and beef patties. The oxtails, beef patties and veggies were delicious. The rice and plantains were a little overcooked. We will definitely return for the oxtails. Also, try the Sorrel Ginger juice it’s tasty.

I have not had much experience with Jamaican food. Tonight, we went to Taste of the Islands, across the street from Citadel Mall. My gosh, this was an experience. Conch fritters – amazing. So tender, flavorful, crispy. Curry Chicken Patty (pastry) – so flaky, and flavorful in a way we don’t usually eat. Braised oxtail…… so rich, deep, spiced without being spicy, coats your mouth with intoxicating umami, beefy, fatty…. I could go on. If you want an experience… I highly recommend this place. To top if off, our waitress was incredibly friendly, learned all our names, took care of us like we were cousins…… Absolutely highly recommend!

After suffering a traumatic experience at a tourist trap, we accidentally found this little gem of a restaurant. Pure Caribbean paradise. Excellent food, friendly and warm service. Priced fairly. And there is live music on Thursdays!!! Absolutely unbeatable. Try their jerk wings and ox tails.

I almost didn’t eat here because of the review about jerk chicken and I have to agree it’s different then authentic Jerk Chicken but still is good & that’s because of the sauce that’s put on it. It’s not oven cooked in my opinion but the sauce they put on it makes you think it is (sweet & spicy sauce). I ask for my sauce on the side because I like dry jerk chicken but they still put it on there. (I don’t like wet chicken) I ask for medium and still got charge for large. I assume the waitress wasn’t paying attention to detail. Which is why I took a star off. My Jamaican husband had oxtail and he love it! All in all when I’m in the area I would definitely eat, it’s the best Jamaican food I had since I moved to South Carolina. Next time I will try the jerk without the sauce and write a review

My husband had been here before. Today he suggested Jamaican food and this restaurant. The food here is soooooo good. They give you plenty and the price is fair. I had a medium oxtail tray and I have enough left for two more meals. The beef patty was really good too. This place is nice and clean. The hospitality was A1. I recommend this place to anyone! I will definitely be back!

Very friendly staff, the jerk chicken was a little different than I’m used to having but very delicious. The patty’s were top notch though. Our waitress was truly a joy, very personable.
