This place has become me and my friend’s comfort food spot. It absolutely never misses. This food is so good it will have you moaning and groaning and writhing around on the floor, and will give you the strength to climb a thousand mountains. The food here will heal you mind body and soul. 5 stars.

Really good! Tasted fresh. Spicy level 4 was spicy. A level 5 and up would have been too much for me. I ordered for delivery. Yummy nice cream, but would not order it again because the size was a joke. The container was something you’d imagine a sauce to come in. It’s about 4 bites for $6

I’ve sampled quite a few Indian Restaurants in the San Diego area, and I highly recommend the “Taste of the Himalayas” in El Cajon. While that name has other locations and I’ve tried them, this location stands out from the rest for me. They were voted the Best Indian Restaurant in Easy County in 2019 before COVID came into the picture, which resulted in them shifting to “take out” only. Their menu is quite “in depth;” and the quality is outstanding and consistently good, which I can attest to since we’ve been picking up food twice per week from them for about the last six months. The staff is friendly; responsive; the food is always ready in a timely manner; they have an “A” grade for cleanliness; and they don’t cut your quantity of food, which sadly I’ve noticed more restaurants are doing during these inflationary times to cut their own costs. In sum, I want good food, and want a consistent amount of it, which they are providing! Also, I highly recommend their Chicken Chile and Chana Ra Chicken Curry (with Chickpeas).

My first time trying Indian food. I ordered lamb tikka masalla and garlic naan bread. Somehow it was 25 dollars for such a small amount of food.

Such delicious food!!! Literally the best food we’d eaten in a long time. I have a very open palate. This place isn’t close to being as glamorous as say the Chart House in Cardiff but the food blew me away. Nice, cozy ambiance, and very friendly staff. Careful with the spiceyness though cause even a ‘2’ will get you if you’re not used to it (Asian spices can be very different from what we’re used to in So Cal).

Food and service was fantastic. I have realistic expectations for the time it takes to cook quality food. And it was well worth the wait. Will definitely be back soon.
