I got the neck bones, greens & Mac & cheese … here’s my honest opinion it’s ok. Mac & cheese needs to come off the menu tho..noodles were way over cooked & made with some cheap nacho cheese and it was clumpy.. I’m 99.9% sure these are glory greens from the can.. neck bones was cool falling off the bone was plus still had to add hot sauce for added flavor but that’s common.. Customer Service was like talking to the dope man.. I get that we are I n the hood but dang I bought food not drugs at least greet the customer.. wasn’t too mad tho only paid 12 bucks but had to do cash app or cash.. over all a 5.2 I ate the meat & greens but please stop selling that Mac I almost threw up fam

My husband and I wanted some soul food to go and I’ve rode passed this place so many times I said we have to try. The reviews were really good and OMG they did not disappoint… everything was so good! I had the oxtails, Mac and cheese and greens. The oxtails were falling off the bone and they had a gravy over it. So good. Greens were nicely seasoned. My husband had fish, Mac and cheese and greens. He loved it all. He wished to have his fish fried hard. We forgot to ask but still good. Definitely going back.

Ate here twice before when they first opened up and food was good. Idk what happened but they definitely have went down hill…today ordered Catfish, mashed and fried okra. Food was not good…bland and tasted old or they using old grease…okra burnt, mashed potatoes was decent but cold. Hubby had Catfish as well it was bland, he had mac and cheese it was awful our kids had chicken nuggets and fries and it was all disgusting… the nuggets were gross and clearly fried in old grease… The tartar sauce, ranch and hotsauce was nasty…the canned drinks tasted old put them on a cup of ice…had stuff floating in my cup smh a waste of $54.00 for my family to eat…won’t go back again….The young guy in the front customer service was decent besideseverything else….

I was nextdoor getting an oil change, and had to wait a bit. So I popped in to this place to grab a quick bite. I picked from a hard list for a shrimp poboy. Let me say, it was on point! Tartar sauce was great, veggies were even fresh. For me, I’m looking forward to my next pit stop to see what is happening on the rest of the menu!

I normally don’t make post unless it is inevitable. I spent $32 at this establishment and was very displeased with the food. I don’t know if I caught them on a bad day or if the cook had a lack of concentration due to it being 100 degrees outside and the establishment had NO A/C. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans (they were out of Mac &cheese) and the Oxtails with cabbage and sweet potatoes. On The steak order, They put mashed potatoes and cabbage instead of green beans. And the oxtails had mashed potatoes instead of sweet potatoes. I told him the order was wrong he took the plates. Brought them back NOTHING WAS CHANGED. He then proceeded to say he put the correct Sides in a separate container. I was like ok so. It was hot I was there for a while and just wanted to take him at his word.

I ordered the stuffed turkey leg. The sides were amazing (cabbage, sweet potatoes and Mac and Cheese) but the turkey leg itself was dry/overcooked and not edible. The Peach cobbler had good flavor but it was really soupy. I would go back for the sides.

Walk in, was not greeted, employees hanging out on their phones, left to get cash because it’s Cash/Cashapp only. Although it is an ATM inside. Customer service is Awful and food was not hot, asked for cornbread got hard roll, was expecting fried cabbage received bland boiled cabbage. I could have given my $24 to a local Charity. Sweet potatoes and Baked chicken was good that’s it.. Owner please look into getting some professional & people

I am a Very picky eater. If I had to rank a restaurant 1-10, 10 stars being Perfect I would give this place a 8.5. This is the best soul food (Black folk food) I have had. The catfish po boy was Banging, Meatloaf Bangin, and as you can see the smothered chicken is Money Dude…. The cornbread tastes like my sister made it… The food is Not too salty… I eat mostly with no salt but I like flavor when I do eat good. Catfish was seasoned on point, chicken and meatloaf.. The potatoe salad and cabbage was Bangin… Ya boy ate a plate in the store and then ordered a To Go plate if that tells you anything; and I’m a picky eater. I would highly recommend supporting this small business.

I drove from Saginaw to try and I was so disappointed the dressing is sweet taste mushy like stove top stuffing mix was added. The turkey wings heavy gravy but no flavor and I mean no seasoning. I don’t know what went wrong with banana pudding. I give up on soul food here.
