Absolutely delicious and perfect Gulasch. Spatzel with herbs and bacon, Gulasch gravy in a large portion. Apple strudel was delicious too. Nice staff that asked about my meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We came across this restaurant when we were walking down the street. We came during lunch time. The menu is straight forward. We had ordered 3 different items to try it out. All of it was delicious, the service was amazing. She was was on top of it, I would definitely come back again.

Very excellent food but somewhat limited selection. Authentic draft Czech beer. The schnitzel was stuffed, hence nice and juicy. Spatzle particle size was smaller than expected, but still good. Spatzle seems more German than Czech- Czechs would have the slices of bread dumpling, or my mother would make potato dumplings. Anyway, the apple strudel was super good- please try with ice cream. One of our party lived in Prague for a while so we might be a bit picky.

Absolutely delicious and perfect pork schnitzel. Spatzel with herbs and bacon, mushroom gravy, and the best purple cabbage I’ve ever had. Tender schnitzel in a large portion. Apple strudel was delicious too. Nice staff that asked about my meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I can’t tell whether food I ordered is authentic Czech food but they tasted good. One indication is when I was there, I was the only one ordering food in English. The rest of 7 tables ordered food in different languages. The waitress was friendly and checked on table in a way not to bugging people. The only feedback I have is the portion is kind of bigger than usual and on high price side. If they reduce portion and bring down price, this restaurant will easily be on top of my revisit list in this area.

It’s always nice when you are warmly welcomed once you step into a restaurant. Our server, Lenka, was very attentive and warm and took the time to explain the dishes we were interested. We have never tried Czech cuisine outside Prague. It’s literally the first time ever we tried it in California and so we were surprised and excited to know how the food tasted like. Without hesitation, we will recommend this restaurant when you come to Lake Tahoe. The restaurant is extremely clean. Service is excellent and the food is very tasty, very good Czech flavour. We particularly liked the schnitzel and the garlic bread. Worth a try! We would give the restaurant a 4.5.

Came here for dinner for the first time. Had the sauerkraut soup and another type of soup, fried mushrooms for an appetizer, the Jager schnitzel, the stuffed schnitzel, and also ordered streudel to go since we were stuffed. Spouse also got a large mug of Czech beer. All the food was very delicious…we could’ve kept eating but probably wouldn’t have been able to walk back to our hotel. Portions are big too, and we walked out with leftovers!

Delicious Eastern European food made and served by truly lovely people. Good selection of wines as well as beers on tap. Cute little spot in Placerville well worth a stop if you have a hankering for some goulash, schnitzel, and spaetzle goodness!

Czech/German restaurant in South Tahoe with indoor and outdoor dining. Came here on a Saturday around 2pm for a late lunch and the outdoor dining spots were still all taken, though we had our pick of indoor tables. Bathrooms are available in the back. Credit cards are accepted. We parked in the residential area and had a short walk over. It’s a kid friendly spot. They do serve alcohol. There was only one waitress working so there is a bit of a wait, but I’d say she handled waiting tables gracefully.

Having been to the Czech Republic and Germany, Taste of Europe got it right! The imported beer selection and tap sizes (specifically the 33oz glass) were impressive and authentic. The schnitzel and spaetzel were perfect. I love spaetzel with bacon and it was a nice suprise to have it done that way. They also had a drink called Aperol Spritz. My go-to drink in France, it was a nice suprise to see and order. We had a big group and tried an assortment of items like the chicken parm, stuffed house schnitzel, and stroganoff, spaghetti. Honestly we could have each shared a plate portions were huge. Highly recommend!
