First off the food was amazing, everything we ordered was delicious! We dined in and it felt truly at home and comfortable. The son of the owners, Dave, was working the dining room and also running the Togo orders. He was very funny and personable. He was honest and helpful when ordering. He was also very upfront and liked conversating with us. Thank you for a nice experience, we will be back!!!!

Love it. It’s not the best Indian food you’ll ever have but great options & they bring you just made naan to your table if you do the buffet. Service is good. Sometimes the music is too loud in my opinion but the vegetarian options are great. Their dessert rice is amazing. Easy parking.

My favorite Indian restaurant in Syracuse. I’ve been coming here for several years and even if I go a long time between visits, some of the staff still remember me and greet me like an old friend. It really makes the place feel special. I have dined in, and also ordered ungodly amounts of takeout, and the food is consistently great.

Taste of India is the best Indian place around. The food is phenomenal and the service is incredible. The family that owns the restaurant couldn’t be nicer. I would recommend this place to anyone especially to those who have never had Indian food before and to those who are connoisseurs of fine Indian cusine. I would like to make a special shout out to VJ who is many times at the front desk or delivery driving. VJ is consistently on time with his deliveries and quite professional. I can’t wait to come back for some more Spicy Tandoori Shrimp!

The restaurant definitely did not review the order placed properly. Asked for Paneer Masala made Spicy and Veg Biryani made Medium Spicy, both weren’t as specified and neither great. The driver that came to deliver the food was rude, demanding tip. Then, the restaurant called back to argue about the complaint made and said it is expected that they would be tipped, but the delivery driver started the conversation with, “if you want your food faster next time, tip the driver.” That didn’t even give me a chance to tip even if I had wanted to. Overall, bad experience when it comes to online ordering and would not recommend it.

Was it an Indian Restaurant? I was in India a lot of times. In villages and in towns I love Indian food. This was by far one of the less authentic in my life in 40 years experience

I initially thought this resturant was going to be a great experience. However the person that was going to deliever the food took a really long time just to order the food and us having to wait there for 45 minutes. After this he totally messed up our order. We requested that the spice level be medium and for sone foods mild spice level. However the chicken biryani was SUPER HOT UP TO THE POINT WHERE IT WAS BURNING MY MOUTH LIKE IT WAS ON FIRE!!!!!!!! I forgot to mention how rude the guy was by him cursing out another customer in front of everyone. When we ordered rasmali it tasted super bad like it was overly sweet. We gave him no tip. Honestly this is very pathetic. Dont eat from here

Ok so the food was authentic and delicious. I read a previous comment on h how he curry Channa chicken was just cubed chicken. Not so….it’s chicken off the bone in a fantastic curry sauce. U can also specify which level of spicy u like on most all the dishes. Mild up to tear jerker. My only dislike was that the bathrooms were filthy. Mind tho i did go there during culture fest in Sep. So big crowds on Westcott that weekend and remember….this is run by a family straight from India. So they do everything themselves. Lots of work. My focus was great food.friendly service.nice atmosphere. And really low prices with ample food portions. A great asset to our culturally divers food scene. Thumbs up

Too much attitude. Called after a stormy weekend to avoid walking all the way in snow. Can’t tell what’s on buffet menu over phone want us to come to the restaurant and take a look. Very disappointed. I used to go there almost every week with my roommates. Never stepping into the restaurant again. Most customer unfriendly behaviour 🙁

Food was good, a bit on the sweeter side (for the malai kofta and paneer masala), but the service was amazing so I bumped up to 5 stars!
