Chef Ne is not only one of the friendliest people, but one of the best chefs around! I had the pleasure of eating her food today for the first time and it was awesome! Being from Chicago, my bar for good food is pretty high and Taste of Happyness cleats it… easily. Chef Ne’s food is creative comfort food. She is able to put a little touch of flare and a whole lotta love into some classic bbq-soul food. Today’s menu had burnt ends, smoked chicken gumbo, smoked mac n cheese, collard greens, corn bread, cowboy baked beans (of course with bacon and burnt ends), and smoked pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream! Yes, smoked pie! All of it was delicious! Eating amazing food at a picnic table in front of an antique/ thrift store on a beautiful, sunny Arkansas afternoon was more than just a taste of Happyness – it was a full meal! The only bad part is that she is not open every day. You have to checkout the Taste of Happyness page on Facebook to confirm days she is open, but it is typically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Exceeded All Expectations. She just made me feel like I was eating my Grandmother’s Cooking again. Everything was nicely seasoned and it made me feel like I was back in the South! 15/10 recommend everyone eat here. It is worth ANY drive to get there!!!

My husband and I got the gumbo, pork chop over a soft potato, smoked Mac and cheese, and smoked bake beans and it was PHENOMENAL!!! Great food with Great service!! Will definitely be returning soon!

We can’t get enough of TOH food. There has not been one item we don’t like. I feel like I just went south for some good homemade southern food. She has catered several of our family dinners and we always have leftovers for the next day. Try TOH YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED
