The best shrimp fried rice ever!!! Perfectly seasoned. Jumbo shrimp, deveined. And plenty to share. Overflowing with peas, carrots and egg. This dish should be called, “Loaded Shrimp Fried Rice.”

Trying this place for the first time after more than a year since we moved here. Loved it! Very good food! Very friendly staff! They have Kimchi and daikon pickle to go with the meal too.

Great hidden gem. My parents stopped by on our way home from SF to Bakersfield. My mom is Shandongese and grew up in Korea, so she was excited to see the Korean words in the window. Turns out my grandma knows some of the owner’s relatives from back in Korea! We ordered zhajiang mian (炸醬麵), chao ma mian (炒馬湯麵), dry saute chicken with garlic sauce (幹烹雞翅), and some veggies. Everything was super-tasty and authentic Chinese-Korean food. They even served raw onions with pickled daikon and kimchi on the side! Will definitely go back next time I’m in the area!

Got the Mongolian Beef and Salt & Pepper Fish (off menu). Beef was a little dry (needs more sauce). Fish had a crispy coating (that I loved…texture wise, but needs more flavor.

For starters the place is now called “Phoenix Tree Hunan Cafe.”. The food was great, unusual dishes. Ordered five but only got four of them, which they did remove the missing dish. Loved the pork with salted greens, the chicken shrimp rice the fried green beans and the Cajun shrimp. My wife really wanted to try the Red Pork Belly, but it was are missing dish which they did remove from the bill. The food was so good my wife said she wants to come here for Valentine’s day (to get the pork belly of course). This is a “soft” opening which we hope stays.

Taste of China is closed, new owners took over. Only a few items from the old menu remain. Ordering from the table via QR code is impersonal, the food didn’t come out in order (appetizer after mains) and one entree took forever. Food is ok but missing the old place a lot now.

I am the owner of Taste of China. As many of our customers know, we take pride in our restaurant’s cleanliness and food safety. Heroic Saipan Otaku, I don’t know where you got that picture from but it certainly is not from our restaurant’s kitchen. Happy New Year!

Did not have chinese food from this place since Covid started. Decided to stop by today. Owned by the same lady. She’s very cheerful and with good customer service. And on top of all, the price did not change. Almost all places increased their prices, but their menu prices is the same. The quality of food is always great. Taste of China never disappoint me. Thank you Taste of China. My mom had a good dinner and she ate pretty good tonight. ❤❤
