Stopped in here for lunch one day and was amazed at how tasty the dishes were. The kung pao chicken was so delicious! I also got the dumplings (no pic because I attacked them as soon as they came out!) That sauce was amazing! I saved some to pour over my rice. The waiter was super friendly and very helpful when suggesting things to try. The lunch portion looked small initially but it was actually quite a lot. The flavors aren’t like American chinese take out. Makes me want to visit Chengdu to get more eats!

We went to Taste of Chengdu for the first time last night, and WOW! From someone who has visited China, and whose best friend is from China, I can safely say this is one of the best and most authentic Chinese restaurants in all of Orlando! Much of the food comes from the Chengdu area of China (hence the name), which is in the Sichuan region – I’ve been to this region of China and this was just as good as any of the food I got there!

I’ve been dying to try Taste of Chengdu for a few years, and it did not disappoint. The appetizer dumplings were (2 hot pepper rating) were delicious. I would say they are one of my favorite dishes in all of Orlando. My friend got lamb, and it was outstanding as well. I got the garlic chicken with rice and veggies. It was good, but I wouldn’t say it was “out of this world” like the other dishes. I had a French malbec I very much enjoyed as well. Our server Tommy was excellent. I would request him again on the next visit. His recommendations and descriptions were spot on. Management should be applauded for letting their employees taste the food and training them so well on descriptions and ingredients. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful restaurant, nicely decorated with murals, art work, comfortable chairs and tables. Food is exceptionally good, I think the best I’ve had in Florida. Fresh tasting and wonderfully spiced. Call ahead to make reservations

This is hands down the best Sichuan restaurant in Orlando. Everything is super authentic, and the spice level is perfect. The food is not too spicy to where you can’t enjoy it. Instead, the food gives your mouth a slight numbing/buzzing sensation due to the peppercorns.

This is the best Sichuan cuisine I’ve had in FL and possibly in the entire US. Their cold noodles bring me right back to my childhood and their Spicy Braised Fish (水煮鱼)is the perfect tender texture. We were so sad they had just run out of their 松鼠桂鱼 (703) by the time we got there. Food came out fast and staff were friendly. Definitely have to come back another time!

This is not your typical Chinese restaurant. If you go in expecting typical American Chinese food with items such as chicken chow mein, egg drop soup, and friend egg rolls do yourself a favor and try a different spot.

This place checked all boxes for me. Elegant and high-quality Sichuan food. The prices were great, and the service was excellent. My friend and I tried to eat here during the pandemic, and it were take-out only, so we passed, he recently mentioned it again and boy I was so glad we went. The restaurant does require reservations so they can control the crowd a little better until they are fully staffed, however the kind lady that greeted us was able to accommodate us. The waitress whom I believe may have been the owner was so kind, very polite and was very busy but she was right there when we needed her, she helped us pick some favorites from the menu as well. The quality and taste of this food was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will be so happy you gave the Taste of Chengdu a try.

Great food! Location is very convenient, right next to piblix of Baldwin Park. The service is good. But the restaurant smells a little oily. I had to say the dishes are not so authentic. I think this is more Chinese — American style. We ordered cold and hot sichuan noodle and they were both good, very hot. The fish filet was too thick. Beef with golden broth was tasty and looked inviting too. The fried beans are flavorful and a little sweet.
