The coffee was good and I’m glad they do $1 refills as I drink a lot of it haha. The food was meh to my taste. I wanted a breakfast but they gave me a salad. Not into salad for breakfast. Note if you have a large or tall car or truck it might be easier to park on the street as their parking lot is not that big.

We came here for crepes because the more well known Michael’s Crepes didn’t open until 10. The crepe itself was pre made, dry and cold. The filling was pretty good but overall the crepes I make at home are much better. Excellent cappuccino.

Somehow I have not given a 5 star review to my favorite coffee shop in the entire world that I go to almost every single morning. Everything about Taste is perfection. From the friendly staff, the amazing owners, the best freakin’ coffee you’ve ever had paired with their out of this world pastries- you cannot go wrong. If you’re in Durango and you don’t make the trip to Taste you’re doing yourself a huge disservice. 100000/10 can’t recommend this place enough!

I highly recommend avoiding this cafe. I have over 20 years experience in food service and Taste has some growing to do as a business. As soon as we walked into taste we were greeted by smiling pups and a great ambiance. Unfortunately the positives stop with the visiting dogs. The staff was lethargic and the employee preparing the food met my “good morning” with a smileless and begrudged head nod. The cashier was peppy and we shared a smile as I danced to the music over the speakers. Unfortunately after we ordered I waited 30 minutes before I had to go to the counter and ask about my order. The person preparing the food simply replied with “I never got that” then continued to work on someone else’s order. The cashier then proceeded to refund my order at my request. I never even received a formal apology. Service is not Tastes strong suit. I would recommend skipping this cafe if you value your time. I’m sure there are other cafes in Durango who understand the value of customer service.

They have without a doubt some of the highest quality coffee in the country, as well as amazing service and a unique and inviting environment.
