Tuna salad was tasty and filling. The dressing is on the sweet side and goes well with the potatoes and tuna. Egg salad Tartine was also really light and refreshing.

Quaint, no-frills, neighborhood staple for light lunch/brunch in a converted house. Dishes are well done and good bake on the breads. Coffee selections are the weakest part of this establishment. Don’t go here for fancy or ambiance. Price point is very fair and portions are hearty. “Charlotte approved!”

I love this place! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is ideal for a lunch meeting, dating, or simply sitting alone and relaxing. The staff is very pleasant and efficient. My only recommendation is that they include a turkey bacon substitute in those dishes that include bacon. There are various dishes that call for pork that I wish I could substitute with another meat.

My husband and I ordered a king cake to be delivered to our hotel. Process was easy and the king cake was fresh. It was delicious however, I do wish there was a little less filling. I would have liked to taste more of the brioche bread since it was really tasty. Would order again.

Little hole in the wall that I literally drove past dozens of times before I tried them. We had a turkey sandwich and a steak salad. For dessert I grabbed a piece of their king cake. The turkey sandwich was nice. The bread had a nice “chew” to it and the cheese went well with the turkey. We were a little disappointed with the steak salad. The salad and dressing were good, but the steak was a little “gamey”. I don’t know if this was due to the marinade or the preparation. Save room for a piece of the king cake. Dang, this was one of the best that I have tried in the city. I go back just for the desert.

Tartine is a quaint cafe just blocks away from Audubon Park. It’s the perfect place for a quiet breakfast (at least when I went on a weekday morning.)

Cute little lunch spot hidden away at the St Charles street car terminus in Carrollton. We shared a smoked turkey, lettuce. avacado and Gruyère sandwich served with a mixed bean avocado vinaigrette salad which was delicious.

Wow! Truly the best tart I have ever had in my life. The filling was light and fluffy and the crust was crispy and savory. Also, some of the best drip coffee I’ve had in New Orleans. I also spilt a ham and Brie tartine with my dad and it seemed simple but was so tasty and fresh. You can tell they’re using top notch ingredients. Love this place!

This small cafe next to Audobon park and Tulane University is an intimate setting to chill out in before or after an exam or after a walk in the park. Their offerings are french bistro meets local diner. I ate breakfast there and had a slice of quiche and the stuffed baguette. Both were excellent. The staff is pleasant but it is more self serve than most restaurants. Excellent food and atmosphere.
