The service was absolutely horrific. The shorter female whom brought out my salad was demeaning and impolite. She failed to bring any silverware or plates out, immediately left the salad and ran off. The wait for anyone to serve you is quite tedious as well, at one point, I wasn’t sure if I needed to order from the front of the store. What seemed to be my main server, she was kind, regardless, very curt all around and without any manners. Regardless, I ordered the rest to go as I was running late for an even, still tipped 18% on the entire bill. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re wanting to be treated as a person. The food was good, however, terrible service, not worth it. Great food can be found anywhere. Best of luck & cheers.

Incredibly distressing experience today. This is a negative pattern of behavior every time with the heavyset Tunisian guy with glasses. When we visit DC around once a month, we usually stop by here at Tarbouch because it’s the only place we can enjoy nice Arab food. The other female waiters serve us very well every time. But when this heavyset Tunisian guy with glasses serves our table, it’s usually a bad experience. Last time he served us, he didn’t give us napkins, utensils, or hot sauce even though we asked and were waiting a while. The food didn’t even come all at once, so we were waiting for each dish to come out one at a time.

Fabulous food. I enjoyed the Baba Ghanuj smoked eggplant, tahini, garlic and olive oil with freshly baked pita bread. I also had the Bambi bil Lahmi – okra & lamb in a tomato stew with traditional rice. It was flavored beautifully & reminded me of the meals I had at my childhood Palestinian friend’s house. This place is a Washington jewel!

We ordered a large chicken shawarma hummus plate that came with puffed pita bread and it was delicious. Falafel mezze plate could have been better. Lamb chop entree was great except that the rice could have been more flavourful.

Love Tarbouch!! The owners are so kind, we had them cater our baby shower and WOW the food was delicious!!!! The presentation was beautiful! Our guests loved it, and even some from out of state said they will come back again just to have their food again! Highly recommend, will definitely be using them for catering in the future, and for anytime I am craving their delicious food!

The worst experience I ever had on any Mediterranean restaurant. I went for coffee and some desserts but I was so disappointed.

Stopped by Tarbouch for a quick lunch after a client meeting in Arlington. Didn’t realize it is also a hookah bar, but we sat on the non smoking side of the restaurant.

Where do I start…. I went during Ramadan the holy month for Muslims . I had their buffet. The buffet was only served during Ramadan. The buffet was $40 and they charged gratuity everything came out to $51. I don’t understand how u charged someone gratuity if you didn’t do anything. Some of the sweets were good and some were not good. The food was actually cold which was a problem. The short female staff was rude. Overall I don’t think I’ll ever be back.
