Authenticity. Plain and simple. They offer a large variety of traditional Mexican dishes, and some with a small twist which are delicious. Their alcoholic beverages selection is quite extensive which adds to the experience. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Ocala, I completely recommend it.

Service was pretty good. Cheese dip was delish as was the bistec torta and chicken taco salad. The chicken chimichanga was decent. It was soft and the cheese inside was not fully melted. The beans were really good and flavorful and paired really well with the rice. Definitely worth a try and can’t wait to go back on the weekend to try the menudo and caldo de res.

When I moved to west central Florida I thought I might have to sacrifice my favorite Mexican food. How wrong I was! Taqueria My Ranchito has the BEST carne asada tacos, rice, and frijoles de la olla – reminiscent of the taco shops in San Diego, CA – which are renowned. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu, and maybe splurge on a pair of leather boots from their Mexican clothing shop!

Customer Service isn’t a priority here, tacos were decent, salsa not so much and chips were cold, my drink was never refilled and I had to get up to pay. If I go back it will be carry out only.
